I furnished a 3 bedroom home (except for mattresses, 2 of 4 tvs, and one of 2 sofas - all from “rescuing” from the local recycling center/dump, thrift stores, apartment complexes on the 2nd-3rd week of the month, my local college trash cans at end of semester and side o’ the road finds… I love it. If it’s “ugly” I make it pretty… I’ve found some really expensive stuff I’d NEVER be able to afford. It’s mind boggling what people throw away.

Water plus worms stack the bins and use news paper in-between you can use the water to fertilize

Hope you didn't get rid of it. Just take that container with holes in the bottom, out it near a plant that's convenient for you to access. The worms will find it and within a month ur golden rotation is achieved

Dawg you do not have to buy those drying racks. They have thousands of them at every thrift store. I got one for free on the road.

Go to your local fishing store. They sometimes carry worms and you can get them extremely cheap

Add worms! And shredded paper/dry leaves/dry grass will help absorb moisture and reduce bugs

As long as their are holes in the bottom then u good but put it outside on the grass worms will find their way in 👍

My bin turned in really good compost in a few weeks. I add one layer of peat moss or dry brown waste on top of every wet waste( veggie peels). If you simply add only fruit & vegetable waste and No Paper, it works really well and super easy. I didn't have to turn it at all.

My family have always bought them from our local farm. Also, in Cornwall UK peoples used christmas trees to help create the structure of sand dunes on part of their coast line to help prevent coastal erosion!

Question: when you are using your reusable bags for produce and bulk bins, do you pay for the weight of the bags? Considering the plastic ones weigh so much less than the reusable. Or will the checkout cashier subtract the weight of your bags?

If you cut off the bottom and open a flap and let it sit on top of soil in your yard, the worms will get to it and you won’t need to keep turning it. You just add compost to the top and the bottom will turn.

Adding worms might help, but if it reverts to an aerobic "hot" composting process it might cook them all!! (Ask me how I know accidentally know...)

Your supposed to put it outside on the ground where worms can find it naturally. Also layer in some brown

It’s better for the environment (this is meant for the commenters and maybe the video maker if she doesn’t know this) to make your own bags out of old fabric or reuse bags you already have if possible! Buying all new “eco friendly” stuff is more wasteful if you already have something that works just as good
