I tried this and unfortunately didn't work (for me). The 3Dfx for nglide doesn't show (settings it is on), and graphics is showing using 3Dfx (glide). Trying to go through menus and it clips back to my desktop (first taskbar, second desktop). The cancel/accept menu goes to the bottom right...not sure what's going on 😭

@@MrDuncaroos are you using Nglide 2.10? That is the version I used. I haven’t tried it in a while but sometimes the Nvidia drivers mess things up too. I’ll have a look again and see if it is still working for me.

Would also love to hear a restored Hawker Typhoon with a Napier Sabre 24 cylinder sleeve valve engine.

Last year we had a Spitfire MXIV and a Hurricane. But the audience were not allowed to get anywhere close to them. It was like protecting the Queen’s Crown Jewels or something like that.

It was designed to land on aircraft carriers. You may think it's a hard landing but it's probably not. F-4s didn't flare (well, maybe the E model a TINY bit with the LE slats)...your pitch/AOA/on-speed is set on approach and 'kept' there...throttle adjustments literally don't affect the AOA...only the stick. And you keep this configuration right to touchdown. Use the throttle to move your touchdown mark forward/back. Just be careful pulling the throttles back ---the real jet started to fall real quick! But the 79s had excellent 'instant' throttle response.

@@jaysonpida5379 thanks for the input. In my earlier tries I was ending up with slightly bent landing gears so I thought I was coming in too fast. I’ll keep on practicing. The community comments are very helpful.

@@bukhariali71 I'm sure its not easy. But you can smooth the landings in all aircraft briefly adding power 2-3 seconds before touchdown. It's just a touch to the throttle.

Sorry, can't watch these vids where the props go wonky. Way too unnatural and distracting.
@bukhariali71
@bukhariali71 28 күн бұрын
Recorded the video using an iPhone 14 Pro. Camera is recording at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. The difference between the prop speed and camera fps is causes the anomaly. Can’t help that unfortunately unless using a higher end camera and lens.

Got randomly recommended this video. Nice one! I'd suggest touching down a tad faster, to keep the nose in flight position. And then, you'd need to push the stick more and more as aerodynamic forces decreases to keep that attitude. And only once you can't get any more authority should you let the tail down and then pin it down by pulling full aft. Good effort! Have a nice day mate

It’s sad what’s happening between RAZBAM and Eagle Dynamics. Hopefully they sort it out. End users like us suffer in the process. The Razbam strike eagle is a great product even where it stands right now. It’s definitely more complete than most others were at this stage of release ( see Viper/Hornet development )

The missions and wingmen behavior was much better than in DCS . For DCS great graphic and system learning but poor with radio interactions and AI. With F15 Janes the ambiance, wigmen behavior and mission was so immersive!

What guide did you follow? I had it running well on my old windows 11 rog, but cant seem go get it running after the hardware upgrade. I can't seem to get it to play in the foreground, it always ends up in the background. F-18 was another good one, but that's even more difficult to get running. To think we were running these on Pentium IIs. The hardware now must feel like going through lightspeed to these old games lol.

And I can't get my joystick to work. And graphically, it looks like crap in "software mode" ...😓 EDIT: Whoops! *My joystick was not connected!* 😅 So, this *OLD GEM* - Jane's F-15 - runs like magic...for the most part on Windows 10!
