Amazing video! What a nice pocket watch! and its movement is impressive, simple and robust... I hope Seiko makes an exact reissue of it... and that they don't make it as limited edition! :D

I just finished a mod on mine. What I've learned is that the bezel can be removed just like any other bezel (it has a retention spring) and then around the glass there are dimples so that you can unscrew the glass with regular case back opener.

Been doing some research on hydro mods now and the silicone oil version seems to indicate only quartz movements work over time. How's the viscosity for 3M Fluorinert and mechanical movements over time? Great video to find 4 years after posting.

Did you happen to remove the crystal and bezel? I'm wanting to build in a Heimdallr Ti 6105 case. I have not bought the case yet, but the chapter ring isn't really the right style for the SPB315 dial I have sitting here. Was hoping it was either SKX sized or some other common size. Thanks

Very nice watches, have you ever had a top hat crystal which has broken and needs to be replaced, the remaining broken crystal ring is still located in the watch case…

There is a Swiss company "Swiss hypertec" they produce these oilfilled watches.Have my hyperbar shark for more than 10 yrs now,for battery change you have to send it in to keep the 1200 bar resistance. They all have that bubble and also mention it in their description.

Well, as a mechanical engineer, I have found it nearly impossible to source Fluorinert. Nowhere has it, let alone has it cheap. Mineral oil and silicone oil frequently work fine with most plastics and most rubbers. Why cant er get a watch designed with polymers that work with these? Baby oil gets rubbed onto babies, but we cant get it on our watches? Wrong material used there.

Pull case back and pull stem out as you would be setting the watch. Face down, vibrate and case as you tilt it to various small angles. Then refill what may have leaked out, over filling it. Just a suggestion. If you own a soniccare toothbrush. Maybe put it up against case while on, causing a high beat vibration, helping the bubble break up and move to the back of the open watch.

Have you ever opened up an addiesdive diver 200m my-h3? I got a Seconds hand that does not hit the Marks. I was thinking of opening the watch and realign everything at the 12 o'clock.

Host bought my first ring watch. I have dozens of wrist watches pocket watches. Cheap and expensive. My latest favorite maker is Raketa. I own 3 worst watches by them now and my ring watch is on the way. Great quality company. Has been around for decades.

Hey there. Know it’s a long shot since it’s been a few years, but you mentioned you had put a Seiko vh31 movement in it before the mechanical movement. Was the vh31 an exact swap with the original movement?

A lot harder to put on than it seems. Just got and struggled. My problem was I didn't have very much tail end to pull. My wrists aren't very large either. I think 7.15-.25". The only thing that worked for me was to shimmy hard on the right side. The left side of the buckle (when facing) basically doesn't move for me at all. I just straightened it out on that side and back to the hard shimmy on the right.

I wear it exactly the same way. But if you look at the buckle logo it is up side down. I think that even from CNS are not sure how to put these on 😅.

End link (at watch lugs) on the SEII is wider than SEI which can be a problem for fit. This depends on the distance from a particular watch case to the end link spring pin and, depending on this distance, the end link can block against the watch case. The SEII comes with a rather wide end link spring pin. If the end link blocks against the case, a slightly smaller-in-diameter end link spring pin can allow full movement of the end link.
