Will 34016, 34039, 34092 and 34101 be mainline certified for hauling express trains like they used to do when they operated on the Southern Railway and British Railways during their careers?

It will do eventually. But it requires so much work with so much cost and time involved that it's best to focus on locomotives that are more economical and better suited to the operations of the line

Why is an re-built Bullied express locomotive number 34027 Taw Valley painted in freight locomotive black livery, instead of the correct BR express passenger locomotive BR lined green livery?

It was painted in Purple last year for the Queens Platinum Jubilee, it was then painted in Southern Black as a "what if" livery on the basis its cheaper to apply then the usual BR Green as the locomotive will be withdrawn from traffic in January 2024 for overhaul. Once this is complete it will return to BR green

I was so looking forward to seeing how the excavated cutting was looking. Nature must by now have softened all the earthworks. However, enjoyed this video immensely .Deserved a part 2.
