Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to cut down on my meat consumption so beans are a great protein alternative. My late Mom told me to never season the beans with salt until after they've softened as the sodium will draw out any moisture in the beans. I'll give the baking soda trick a try 👍

water bath increase shelf life??? some videos have no water bath?

I'm currently working on my attic. I had vermiculite in there. For the safety of my family and their long term health I got it removed. Since then, I have been going up there weekly air sealing, insulating pipes, adding baffles and metal mesh to gable vents to keep out squirrels. Next I have to build up hatch and blow in the cellulose. Got 60 bags stored in my garage right now and have machine reserved for later this week. It's honestly so much work I want to puke. Some days after getting down from there i do puke. But I know in the end it'll be worth it cause I actually care about the project and what it adds to the house.

Why is this brand so much cheaper? (First time home buyer who knows 0 about insulation)

Ok, so I'm going to try this. I have pressure canned milk 3 times now, following what everyone else does, and it failed each time. Best I got out of that was 3 months of shelf time. The milk turned an almond color the first time (lasted 4 months); turned a darker color, separated, and smelled not so great for the 2nd & 3rd tries. Honestly, I think a pressure canner cooks the milk far too long. I thought about shutting it off after 10 minutes of steam, but haven't tried that option yet. Water bathing just seems to make more sense - milk is far more sensitive than sour cream and whipped cream. I did sour cream and whipped cream in a pressure canner (same process as milk) and it turned out great - so far have 10 months on those and they are perfect. Loved watching your video - you have such a fun, real down to earth disposition! Thanks again.

In the USA, people have freedom to choose their own lifestyle. As a heterosexual I don't go around with signs and flags telling everyone that fact. Let's keep our sexual preferences private. Most people aren't interested in anyones sexual preference, and to children it's really confusing. Companies that promote ,out of the norm, lifestyles are going to upset the others and perhaps suffer the consequences. Maybe they should remain neutral, and just provide products and services.

Since nobody is forcing anybody to bring their kids to any Pride event this is a reasonable take. It seems you do have a basic understanding that Drag is not Burlesque. The fact that you will not take your children to a beach or public pool where women may be in revealing swimsuits shows a consistency that others don't seem to have. It's beyond time to accept the fact that queer Americans are not going back into the closet no matter how many hateful people try to force them to. Since these companies understand that they have LGBTQ+ employees and costumers they will continue to be inclusive and you are right, if people boycotted every company that supports people they despise then those people would soon find they are boycotting everything.

Good info....but I bet the bats will also eat a few dragonflies. Another thing to do is make sure you don't have standing water containers...things like old tires, buckets and deep ruts...anything that will hold water for very long will grow skeeters.
