Probably one of the worst horror or detective movies I’ve ever seen!!! Whoever thinks this movie is good needs a new brain!!!!!!🧠
@pablo-zn1mg5 күн бұрын
I just watched this last night at my local Theater and it was brilliant, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I was constantly searching the frame for clues or for someone to be standing in the shadows ready to jump at you. I love how they live by the ‘less is more’ motto and withhold a lot of information so you’re kept guessing. I wasn’t too into the plot explanation that happens at one point or some of the twists, but overall this is a very effective horror for me and definitely will get a hold of a physical copy when it comes out.
@gracebressi86226 күн бұрын
The way they hyped up this movie is ridiculous. Basically all the scenes you see in the trailer. It’s pretty much the movie. Nicolas Cage’s character is way over the top with the acting and the make up, which has him looking like some kind of a monster transvestite anyone that was this fucking crazy would be locked up in an institution.😂 the lead character who plays the detective is so boring with her blank looks on her face and absolutely no feeling to her character! The whole story with the doll with the metal ball in its head just is overkill and they really never explain it. Most of the audience was fidgeting in their seats. My boyfriend was falling asleep as we got up to leave. Everyone was quiet. They just didn’t know what to say.😂 watch this movie at your own risk, but make sure you’re not too tired because you will fall asleep

(Captures “feel” of Se7en, Silence of the Lambs & The Shining VERY well-DREAD central) I’ll say this The GENIUS they did! IRONICALLY ends up being a negative! “What?” Marketing! The marketing was INCREDIBLE! Absolutely HOW you do it! Issue??? Did…not…stop. & if ur like me/many others; u’ll start picking it apart, yep. So; LIMIT all the trailers they really should’ve hit “STOP” on I had every motive PINNED-even if it was wrong; film STILL spoke about said motive! (Remembering what Cage said about the killer did NOT help either! That “he’s a deranged- NOPE, don’t let me give u ideas either! I just never knew how important that silver/chrome ball was! Lol; won’t get that unless you see👍 INCREDIBLE film-GO see it! There’s “no waste” 2 seeing this! Even if not everything you hoped-won’t be “disappointed”-most likely Just: NO expectations! Good, bad, thinking of other movies-DON’T do that Jst let the film tell you what it is-let it unfold naturally. Do that? In 4 a hell of a ride-to hell Still can’t get it outta mind & you might not think it-but there’s SOOO many devils in details-LOOK Dreadful, nasty, CRUEL little film! Maika’s character has NO IDEA the chess game she’s IN (btw she smoked it; & Cage? The one time his “Cage crazy”…isn’t funny…at all)

I saw this and I would not say scariest of all time but, I will say it is very very very disturbing, uncomfortable, dread attack on senses, I feel it was a fresh breath and acting was amazing, I grew up with the Exorcist so I love slow burn movies and this is really a slow burn, there are many things that will slip by if you blink the whole time I was watching this movie I felt like I was next victim in a way some scary parts yes, but most of all disturbing very disturbing possibly the most disturbing I have ever seen. I have seen them all. In my personal opinion yes go in and cleanse all reviews and stuff you read or hear, don't expect anything just go to experience it. I am still a bit uneasy from the constant slow assault on senses visual and audio. I loved the ending and it totally worked mostly because it brought a sense of its not over even after it is over because ................EVIL! I have to go 5/5 on this movie across the board.

Longlegs is a movie that painfully drags, you will beg it to end halfway through. You should be running away from it at every measure, don't waste your time or money. Not scary. Poorly paced and constructed. Terrible believability regarding plot, actions, and scenarios. Good cinematography and era specifics! Nic Cage is cringy bad. His dialogue was even worse. As this movie finally debuted last night, I assure you the negative reviews are coming, especially from those who were very let down. Please go see the movie before you make a reply comment, your opinion is moot otherwise.

My hype was through the roof for this movie after seeing the marketing, and it squandered my enjoyment. Especially after how much I liked the Blackcoat's Daughter. Longlegs is not "the scariest movie in a decade", nor is it "highly disturbing". It is a modern rendition of Silence of the Lambs, and I don't understand how some people are saying it's not. It was marketed to be a different movie, similar to how they did "It Comes at Night". They marketed that as a horror movie and it turned out to be an apocalypse movie.
@PointsofReview10 күн бұрын
I found it to be pretty disturbing, but I agree that much of the marketing about it being "the scariest movie of the decade" is quite misleading. The general audience will likely be disappointed with it, but I still think it demonstrates some fairly strong directorial instincts from Perkins.
