This is just an assumption but I feel like Kuro chose to take it down a notch with the animation and design for this patch because of the 120fps release. I could be totally off the mark but it just feels like they’re a little underwhelming compared to the 1.1 characters. So perhaps they’re still testing everything out to see what works

I agree that his fashion is quite subdued colour palette-wise, but I think he’s meant to look as the opposite of Mortefi (according to their lore). Still, as everyone said, let’s wait until we play him in-game! (And yes he’s so pretty. I remember staring at his face when he was officially teased and felt a sense of peace. He’s beautiful.)

I mean he canonically during his hyper real storyline chapter was straight up having numerous future copies of himself going thru numerous possibilities in the timeline to achieve the goal of saving humanity from being obliterated and turned a giant destructive tower into a anti punishing virus cleansing tower, giving humanity its first ever ‘clean zone on earth in story.’ He basically is MADE of the ‘Kris, where the fk are we?’, meme in spades from that alone. Though I kinda like the idea that this is Lee’s brother as one theory.
