You can, but then you'd have to use wire jumpers / clamps. Other methods are using black fuses in the fuse box.

thanks for the direction. however, on my 2006 cayman s, i had to pull back the carpet a bit to access the 2 screw access holes. then, the 5mm hex screw is about 20 miles inward from the plastic shroud, therefore needing a super long shafted 5 mm driver or whatever...and that's just the one that's "forward". the one at the rear is a real doozy for people with normal sized hands and who didn't take the seat out first. finally figured out how to get to it, but not easy peezy. then came the hard part. those 4 detent thingys are a night mare to loosen or move in order to remove the control unit from the frame. i had to break mine in order to replace with the new unit. it all came together and i'm glad i found your vid, but you made it look way tooooooo easy.

According to this guy's logic we r buying this car to drive only in middle of nowhere or on track.what about people who want to enjoy this car in a b road or a road which has a normal traffic😮
@DasCayman6 күн бұрын
Porsche puts all their cars on track and do 'Ring times. They just also make them available to drive in city traffic so they offer things like adaptive cruise control on 911's. They didn't design these cars to race between red lights in Manhattan. I'll also say that these cars are perfectly normal for normal traffic roads. And if there is traffic around, there really is no point in driving fast...
@shibilm.n40736 күн бұрын
@@DasCayman it's not just about driving fast ryt,why don't a person get a tesla if he need to drive fast,people buy a porsche for many other variables like it's chasis,handling ,weight distribution etc.And majority of people will drive this in a b roads with traffic and regulation.

The pure bliss of buying a salvage title rebuild one owner car with minor damage. Total cost with racing mods to the suspension and brakes = $36k cash So far 15,000 miles trouble free mountain roads and track days.

@aramcobratusa89637 күн бұрын
You should update the video. The 2.0 requires the wirebraded hose, which came with the unit. The correct hose eliminates the pulse and allows the instant stop. The 2.0 is rated for 200 hours and Active sells the stuff you need to change the oil and fix it if it breaks. You also need to be careful with the diameter of the orifice in the foam cannon and nozzles because if they're to small the motor can burn out from the increased amp draw. No matter what it's also a little louder. The Krenzle must have that 20amp circuit, changing the oil is way easier and the unit works with flexzilla type non wiremesh hoses. I think the Krenzla is therefore all around a little better unit but the question is do you think it's worth paying four times the price? Probably worth it if you use it to earn a living but probably not if you're washing a couple of cars or RVs on the weekends.

Too loud, too stiff not enough torque… no, no, no! I absolutely agree with your assessment. In fact the car continues to improve in all those areas as it puts on more miles. Smoother, more compliant, quieter sounding (“creamier” as per a friend’s description “) and, plenty of power from a really really wide power band! Love it ❤😎

To be honest, I'm not sure how GMA can transfer the transmission speeds to the engine speeds without a clutch and flywheel, but I know that there isn't a flywheel on the car... And yeah! Happy to document. There weren't too many videos out there on Porsche flywheels so I wanted to make some. I'm sure you've seen my Spyder flywheel videos too... that's a FUN car.
@robertgudd719611 күн бұрын
So basically, it does have a flywheel. There is a physical toothed wheel with a friction surface to hold the clutch as you say. It's just as light as physically possible. There is no mass for inertia, its just a clutch carrier. - a cosworth tech

For $16... won't hurt to try... The cost to repaint those calipers and labor would be $1000 by the time you have them off the car, powder coated, re-installed, and brakes re-bled... I obviously can't guarantee, but if there was a product that would do it, it would be this.
