2023… Bought one new and ran 150 velocity through last week after a full strip down and degrease of factory packing oils. Not a single issue or failure to eject/feed. Over the moon with it.

Very interesting and well made video tutorial! I have just stripped and cleaned my Armsan A620 following your instructions. But I still have some issue with the magazine tube which is grinding when I load it up. It actually take quite a bit of effort to slide the cartridges in the magazine tube. Do you experience the same problem?
@countryfunshooting2020
@countryfunshooting2020 3 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for the comment. I've not had that problem with the magazine tube spring. But I live in the U.K So we can only 2 shells in the magazine. Have you just got the gun if so maybe take back to your gunshop and see what they have to say. If not clean the tube and spring give it a very light oil. Sorry I can't be more help. Stay safe. Steve

How reliable is it does it ever hang up on certain loads or will cycle everything? I’ve got a Hatsan Escort and it’s been 100% reliable for the last 2 years

Hi thanks for the comment. The gun in the video belongs to a friend of mine. At first it was very fussy on cartridges. But he sorted it out with game cartridges So it would run anything. I have two Hatsan Escorts which I think are great guns. But I think the fit finish and feel of the Armsan is better.

Very nice video thank you! Just regarding the end- so would you recommend loading two and then racking the action to load the first shell in to the breach rather than putting one in to an open breach and then topping off two in to the loading gate? Or did you just mean that you don't recommend letting the action forward on an empty chamber?

Excellent video mate , thoroughly enjoyed it , important tip re the bolt being allowed to go forward freely , i take it the discolouration on the piston is no issue as long as there is no carbon deposit ? , any value on a very light greasing of the spring ? ,i also noticed you leave the choke in , do you take it out after so many shots , say every 500 ?
@countryfunshooting2020
@countryfunshooting2020 5 жыл бұрын
Hi i clean the choke every time when i;ve been shooting. But the gun only shot 2 or 3 cartridges so was clean anyway. you can put a very very small amount of grease on the spring or a small amount of a light gun oil. Try it and see what works best for you.

Hi Dan a great first gun. If you could only have one gun this would but a good one to have. You could good clay or game shooting. Shoot lead or steel shot and it's a 76mm magnum. the gun in the video i got from a gun shop less then a year old maybe 200 or 300 shots so the guy in the shop said. I payed £225.00 which i was very happy with. All the best Steve PS Have you got a gun yet?

Got one of these and ran 125 28's and it never failed. Following week was 80 24's and again it worked then after a clean it didn't want to feed the second 24's. Got the same as you where there was not enough power to cycle the working parts. All I read before purchase was that 28's are the lowest but if it will regular cycle 24's all the better. The slide and spring were mank so I don't know if the oily carbon (I think I spray lubed it) retarded it a bit. I will get it out again next week with 28's to see if it just needs a bit of welly to clear the tolerances. I mainly shoot clay loads in steel so not the most powerful. Other than that it's a great gun and no worse accuracy than I am with a 686. A great winter or basher gun when it cycles.

Something isnt right there took my brand new out the box A612 and cycled 28GMS Gamebore Velocity's perfectly then decided to try it with Eley Ambers 21GMS and it cycled them without a problem (didn't expect that!!!). Like i said this was a unfired, Brand new gun. Just thought you might want to hear that incase there is something else wrong :)
@countryfunshooting2020

Thanks for your comment Oscar. Great to hear that they will cycle 28g Velocity's and even 21g Eley Ambers.I'm going to try some 32g Gamebore Clear Pigeons if they don't cycle them take it to a gunsmith. But some times putting some more powerful cartridge helps to make it cycle lighter loads. But I will film it when I try. Thanks again for the comment safe and happy shooting
