I found these this year and because of all the rain and my own seeds failing to survive, I bought them. Wow! I’m buying these seeds again. They complete my tomato plants (indeterminate oxhearts). Big, beautiful tomatoes!

Interested in your opinion. I have gathered ample windows and plan on building a slanted roof greenhouse with a polycarbonate roof. The spot I'm envisioning will be oriented east-west like most would suggest, But I'm wondering instead of slanting the roof south I was thinking north to prolong the panels life. Will be in nearly full sun. Thanks

In Zone 6 (Western NY) I plant in containers. Just direct sowed swiss chard. Temps are 80's daytime 60's nighttime. Is it too early?

Just make sure the soil is always moist, you may have to water at least twice a day! you don’t want the germinating plants to dry out and die. 😊

Can we all agree that there are FAR too many novices uploading videos to youtube, giving us all "advice." I trust this guy here, but many of them are clueless.

We set up, originally, a rain barrel that fed our remote watering system. However, once the barrel emptied and no rain to keep up with the demand, I am looking for an alternative resource and our pond, nearby, seemed logical. We may be using our portable solar generator as our pump power source. More later on its success. :0)

Enjoyable, easy to follow, great looking set up, natural methods by the look of it, which is the only way to go imho. And by luck, a plant based, vegan lifestyle mentioned. Didn't realise it when I clicked on. Thank you!

The tip with the rope and wooden structure is helpful, I've always planted big boys tomatoes in part due to my late mother it was the kind she always planted. This year (2024), I planted 6 plants in April, and it's presently June. These plants are at least six feet tall, I called them tomato trees.

I love your gardening channel. Such load of great information presented in wonderful, warm, enthusiastic way. Please, keep on sharing your knowledge and experience. I also do have a question; would you consider making a video on how to grow blueberries in containers? I live in the city and have a city size lot: not too big, full of tree roots and partly shaded. Therefore, the most I can do is container gardening for tomatoes, herbs, peppers, eggplants. And this year, I've decided to try my luck in growing blueberries in large half-whisky wooden barrels. Thank you so much and God Bless.

Absolutely prune your cherry tomatoes. I prune all my cherries about 18" high taking all the growth off from the first fruit cluster to the ground. Then at 3 ft take off all suckers. After that let them go but continue pruning small suckers until it reaches 6 ft.

First time watching…can it be used to fertilize your lawn? How about rhododendrons & azalea? I bought a 50# bag and I don’t have a vegetable garden…I did get blueberries, strawberries and globe artichokes all in separate containers. Not enough information on how much to apply and other uses. I don’t want to mess up.
@PlantSmartLivingNOW3 ай бұрын
Alfalfa pellets are a slow release fertilizer, so there’s nothing in it that should hurt your lawn or your plants, you could sprinkle some on your lawn and maybe a cup or two around each plant and overtime It will fertilize it. 😊

Seeded norning glories are a disaster.. when fall comes the vines turn to dead straw seeds fall everywhere so i would only plant the vine morning glory that dies not drop seeds the vihe just keeps spreading & stays healthy all year round.
