Lassie aired at 7PM on Sundays and CBS gave up the slot to local stations-and many aired Lassie at that time when the series entered syndication. Same with Wild Kingdom.

Oh how I miss the soaps! When I was growing up, ABC and CBS had 4 each and NBC had 3. My beloved Grammy wouldn’t take the phone off the hook between 1230-4. 🤣

Back in those days, TV censors would never have allowed a woman to be sexually assaulted and then fall in love with(and marry) her attacker!!

Kate Collins and Beverlee McKinsey should have been nominated for Lead Actress. I would have given Susan Lucci’s slot to Kate and Jessica Tuck’s to Beverlee.
@upontheventura3 ай бұрын
Nah- I would have 100% given Jeanne Cooper's to Beverlee and kept Jessica. Jessica unfortunately submitted the wrong scenes- huge mistake on her part. LOVE KATE COLLINS- Was that the year of the Natalie in the well storyline?

@@upontheventura yes with Kate playing dual roles.

Thanks for uploading this one! I loved the ovation Lucci got and her classy "Erika is a phenomenal actress. I vote for her every year" line. You got to admire two legendary women in soaps who have that level of respect for one another.

It was terribly sad. I’m so glad he was recognized for his phenomenal work on ATWT. The show suffered terribly after his death and the dismissal of Laurie Caso as EP.

I loved when Hillary B. Smith called Scott Holmes! So funny! (P.S.: For those who don't know, Hillary played Margo Hughes on "As The World Turns" during the 80s. So, she act alongside Scott during her final years on the show.)

I remember the olden days. The awards were during the daytime and they would rotate between channels and so basically the channel that had it would preempty their soap operas so that they could run the show. So basically you had the show start like 2 in the afternoon and run until 5 in the afternoon that day usually between May and September.

This was the one awards show where Days of Our Lives could get some wins. They rarely were ever nominated for Emmys. Also, it’s odd seeing Susan Flanders in the Supporting category. She was always the lead of B&B.
