Hannah There is a good story in Bishop Curry's book, Love Is The Way, about the Church facing its past and redeeming itself. In 2016, he was invited by the Bishop of Louisiana to set in the bishop's cathedra. This cathedra was carved and assembled by slaves, and was where Bishop Leonidas Plok, a secessionist who was a general in the Confederate Army, sat. Now, Bishop Curry, a descendant of slaves, was sitting in the same cathedra as Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church.

I didn't get to the mid-day Thursday service until this morning due to a conflicting AT&T service call. We're attempting to get the kinks out of our internet service - so far, it appears that it has worked but we've been through this cycle before so I'll have hope and keep a bit of skepticism as well. Thanks for leading the service!

I just discovered this video looking for the Christ Church You Tube place in preparation for (hopefully) a church service tomorrow. That's the cutest, most uplifting video thing I've seen in a long time! I LOVE IT! Now I can imagine my Sam having a ball running through the church.
