When I was ill and dying for a long time it took me 4 years until I cried after a phone call with my parents . I was 30 and alone at home. It was all dawning on me hearing other people talk about it, how bad things were. I couldn't stop for an hour and 25 minutes, I was hyper- ventilating and had to force myself to go out and run an errand in a bid to get it to stop. That sucked. It is necessary at times, fair play insightful comments in the video there mate.

I don't agree that he missed the penalty like the critics say he did. The shot was on goal. The keeper saved it. Granted it wasn't a good enough shot. Who cares? Nobody is perfect. If every player that walked the pitch was perfect, football wouldn't be a popular sport, because it would be boring to watch. Yes he cried. But the critics will not understand how it feels to stand on a pitch watched by millions with the weight of a nation on your shoulders, after a very successful career, and with naysayers breathing down your neck, because they would've never been able to make it there themselves. Put simply, most of the people saying sh*t about Ronaldo are jealous at what he has accomplished with sheer discipline and willpower. Let's not forget how his former club treated him when his child died and was mourning, but he still got up and worked his a** off so he would be able to retire on his own terms.

Nice share Tim. It's hard to cry in a dark room by yourself let alone in front of millions! I agree it had to clear some energy for him to feel light again and do his thing.

Hey Tim, I already follow you from even before your knees injury back in the days. You were a beast in freerunning bro. I'm portuguese and live in Portugal. Nowadays i don't watch much journalism but after this match I wanted to see what they would show. This match will go to the history of Portugal's futebol and really not because of CR7 but because of the performance of our goalkeeper (Diogo Costa). He defended 3 penalties in a row, that's an hell of an achievement after that match and all the pressure involved. In here we all love CR7 he always worked super hard. He always led by example even after all the fame. Our team is the definition of a team, and our captain (CR7) is the definition of a leader. That's why they all support eachother no matter what. They all want to perform at the maximum, but ofc mistakes always happen. evem Pepe which is top tier made a rookie mistake, but goalkeeper was there. I think that Ronaldo attitude made goalkeeper push himself to perform like that. Example leads to example. Our news were all about Diogo Costa and not CR7 cry. they did show him cry but the highligh was on Diogo. I won't even comment about the journalism based on hate because is just giving credit to where it shouldn't be. Ronaldo is an amazing man with difficult life and all the work he puts on is well deserved. Take care bro, You're the person I follow the longest on youtube. I had a journey similar to your on spirituality, body movement and stuff so I always resonated with your videos. Let me know if you want to come to Portugal one day. Keep it up.

Interesting take. But i also think even if he hadn't left or processed the emotion via crying as you say,..as an elite competative athlete, he is likely very good and practiced at getting in the zone and focussing on a high pressure task when its required no matter his state. Not saying the crying didnt help btw. Just a different take, i took his composure more as a show of his skill in getting into the zone and ability to focus AFTER being so emotional, not because of the being emotional. But you may also be right. Just different perception of the same event.

It's a shame that we still have to talk about it being OK for men to cry openly. I think you're right Tim, I think he lives in the moment and so he cried and moved on, was able to focus. Food for thought - one more thing - some may find it strange that a person will cry over a game/sport when there are far more horrific/sad cry worthy things in our world - I can understand those who don't see sport as having the same importance as human suffering - they may be cynical about his tears for very different reasons.
@Tims_Gym

Yea I totally agree, that is the other discussion I sort of alluded to at the end - that caring so much about a sport may stem from a different type of childhood trauma associating self-worth with sporting success which is something I suspect I have and likely a factor in Ronaldo’s tears too - but ultimately just being able to cry is a good starting point and valuable conversation amongst men in general.

Wow you had a lot going on at the time! I am currently involved with an FP coach and am enjoying it. So right that it exhausts brain and body and I’ve found it very very helpful to have someone precisely guiding my body to the mind-muscle connection. There is no way I would get involved deeper with them because of Naudi’s attitude. I can see his insecurities a mile off. I really want to like the guy and have a lot of respect of what he’s built, but he’s on the back foot - constantly attacking everyone else and terrified of people copying him. He doesn’t seem interested in collaborating and seems very limited rather than expansive. I had a to sign an NDA when I started with this coach. Unfortunately, I feel that the fact they block anyone who doesn’t agree with them and ban people from training is such a lack mindset. It’s a shame but I guess that’s his journey. I’m sorry he wasn’t kind to you. I would recommend everyone has experience with FP with regards the movement - Something I’ve never done before and it’s been really helpful for me to get to know and move my body more.
@MishelleBee
@MishelleBee 6 күн бұрын
So basically, Naudi has control over anyone passionate about movement, not allowing them to teach or share about it so he wouldn’t let them train. Big red flag for me in an organisation.

Perhaps Jessica's point #2 could be described as "being pulled out of the [boring!] cartesian coordinate system". Many anatomy systems label our anatomy using the coronal, sagittal, and transverse planes. The three planes are at 90 degrees; everything is squared up. This is nonsense. At best, it's a gross simplification of the beautiful juicy spiraling ways we can actually move. Someone who thinks this way can literally be shacked to flat-earth movement patterns. The rope allows us to question those self-limiting thoughts. Euclid's parallel postulate was never proven. There's a good reason: the parallel postulate is only one possible way to model/visualize the world's geometry. Failing to prove the parallel postulate is a great accomplishment for our civilization. Consider: we move with hyperbolic geometry -- a sister postulate to the parallel postulate. The best visualization I've seen for this is hyperbolic crocheting: (see www.theiff.org/oexhibits/oe1e.html ). Construction is simple: while each row of the material is constructed, loops are periodically added to the row. After a few rows, the crocheted material literally leaps out of 2D and explodes into a coral-like structure. ETSY sells small hyperbolic crochet works and construction plans to make more; MoMath regularly hosts online courses on Topological Crochet to children. I've mentioned STEM to Tim; this is an excellent example. Spiraling motion gives us a way to access these abstract (and often intimidating) concepts. Our CNS rapidly figures out how to do things like the Dragon Roll. The CNS figures out the movement from nothing; it doesn't have to believe or know anything. By seeing/feeling those forces, we can intuitively gain access to ideas like hyperbolic geometry.

I’ve been flowing for 3 years and the biggest benefit for me has been outrageous confidence, in 2 ways. First, I’ve always been athletic and fit but ropeflow has given me the most agility and coordination I’ve ever experienced. Second, I’m convinced if you can learn to coordinate your hands, feet and rope seamlessly- you can learn ANY physical skill, sport or instrument.

I heard about rope flow and tried it with a resistent band the last 3 days and omg is this amazing. I'm a really aging lifter and that feels so good in the shoulders and core. It can get the heart rate up, yet there is zero impact. I think, I will buy a rope and will utilize it. Especially when vacations come up and there will be few possibilities to train.
