Let's not talk about how it feels to use the awp in cs2 vs how it used to feel in css... It's just awful. The best of both worlds would be the early csgo awp pre-nerf as it wasn't as overpower as css but still really strong and fun to use after ALOT of practice. As a main awper who come from end 1.6/early css.. what i enjoyed the most was after a few thousands of hours of practice with the awp you didn't had to scope any more for anything mid/close range, you could just consistently feel where your scoped crosshair would be and just had to click the right mouse button and then instantly taking the shot skipping the scope animation to hit some insanely quick shot. It also used to be like that early csgo, and it was so fun.. that was the prime era of csgo before they nerfed the awp after seeing Prime KennyS, JW, S1mple and CadiaN... however, it has been a big mistake as now awping is boring as fk.. every new player is watching the highlights clips from the players i mentioned above and goes crazy over it.. most of them try to reproduce it without success as they don't understand that yes, it is the same game but from another era.. now awping is sloooooooow and mostly static... when before it used to be quick and always on movements. 💔

Who is watching in 2024 ?

For the younger or new crowd who weren't around for the 1.6/1.5/1.3/etc. days: that first clip on cobble is so impressive 😲. It's a more difficult solo jump than getting from the roof onto the rock in Nuke. Not only do you have to hit a bunny hop while changing height and guessing if you are at the right level, but the momentum has to carry you over that large gap. They quickly banned planting on top of the box since it created an obvious disadvantage, but for a short time it was allowed.

When the game was still competitive but built on friendship and funny moments... nowadays its all about win or die and if someone fail to clutch the knife round there's always that one guy who goes《GG im throwing the game now.》counter-strike has lost it's magic to skins and statistics.

ahh man i miss these old days. i remember when deathrun was finally out but before that we try to do stunts jump tricks to kill other players. good old days. my childhood was amazing with cs1.6
