again I ran a hydro propeller on 4s, the battery 1 cm further forward to compensate for the lift of the boat and trimtabs 1 mm above the boat line, the rudder blade straight, the water pump because it is very warm +28°C water temperature, risky setting but everything ended well I think, the boat constantly runs +100 on 4s,goal 110 kmh maybe with new 4s battery
@CozyRCАй бұрын
In my opinion, not a good prop for this boat. You can hear the load on the motor. Too much pitch, and therefore, cavitating as well. 🤔
@daiciuapostol79Ай бұрын
for me it's hard to tell the difference just from the sound of the engine, yes a propeller for hydro I think than for a vhull, it cavitates a lot when starting but when it gets up everything is ok except for the jumps that were due to the small waves created from the previous passage it seems that with this propeller it is very sensitive to these waves, but it seems promising at least on 4s with 6s to much lift maybe different setup on stinger
@CozyRCАй бұрын
@@daiciuapostol79 The rpm seems to drop a lot from cavitating to 'grip'. In combination with your comment that it already destroyed esc's and a motor, I wouldn't use that prop on a V-hull. Only very light running hulls, who can take the prop load. What was the speed on 4S?

Ouch! But you land correctly, that's the good part 😎 How do you recover your boat if it crashes or stalls on the lake? Do you have a recovery boat?
@daiciuapostol793 ай бұрын
it rolled a few times, probably the engine support also helped with the correct landing, which brings the boat a very low center of gravity🥰, I don't have a recovery boat, in the past I used the rigger to push overturned boats, I usually swim if I don't have a signal, or just and I simply control the overturned boat from the remote control, it takes longer but I manage to bring it to shore
@CozyRC3 ай бұрын
@daiciuapostol79 Ah, I see. When the boat still works, the prop acts as an air propeller, pushing the boat forward. Most of my boats run pretty good upside down 😅. But when the boat breaks down, a recovery boat is really convenient. I got on old ECO boat with a pool noodle at the front. It works, but not great. I'm thinking on making a recovery boat from pool noodle and an airplane prop for thrust.
