Makes it look so easy. I’m looking forward to getting this intuitive and smooth. And, it was educational. You can gain insight by watching others.

I agree it's not as educational as a title promised but it sure looks like fun

No doubt as a beginner, in that exact setup, I would be swept up with a gust of wind and sent crashing painfully into the surrounding trees 😱😱

Hmm this is not much of a tutorial for beginners!!- I doubt any beginner would be able to achieve such mastery over the wing or brakes, which incidentally seem very long?

Just a small word of advice to anyone using videos on KZfaq to 'learn' how to fly. Is your life worth the minimal amount of money payed to qualified instructor. Seriously, Sit down and do the math if need be.... I will promise you one thing, if you do It by yourself without professional instruction, you are going to get hurt.... and thats a best case senario. Also consider, that if like us, you crave the need to take flight, trying this on your own will destroy that dream completely..... just saying...

He turned off the wind which collapsed the one side and deflated the wing just for half a second, long enough when you're 15 feet above the ground, duh
@JohnnyFaber2 жыл бұрын
He didn't "Turn off the wind", he encountered a thermal and pulled too much brake trying to catch the surging wing and spun the glider. Choking the wing and not letting it fly is no bueno.

Those brake lines are WAY too long. He can fly the wing his hands all the way down without being able to adequately apply the brakes. This may make it less likely that he will stall, but if he actually needs to have real control over the wing, he's going to have to take up a lot of slack. When he does fly with properly positioned brake handles he is going to be heavy handed and much more likely to stall the wing. Just my 2 cents.

The pilot is definitely not a good representative for us who fly paramotor. Show consideration and respect! You would probably never fly so close to a friend in the air. I understand the lure to fly close, but it is disrespectful to the birds. Would you use motor vehicles and chase animals on the ground in the same way? I thought pilots learned not to fly to close after we watched the film on KZfaq when an idiot chases an kicks owl in the air and even flies through a flock of seagulls.
