I went to USMC OCS recently as a Sgt. One look around and I felt pretty sick. I realized that I was about to start over all over again. All the time I lost in the Corps? Yup... about to lose even more. I had 1 year of being a civilian while waiting for OCS and it made me realize how nice freedom was. I got so much done in that year. I requested to check out and was granted since I was there under a non-oblig. status. Starting over and losing another 2 years in training back at the bottom just wasn't worth it. When you're in, all you see is the prison walls. You think OCS, DI, recruiting, whatever, is the next logical step. When you get out.. you really do realize what you gave up all that time. You then see the world is your oyster and what you make it. Work on your civilian life. I have my business degree now since I got back and I am working on my Masters of Business Admin. I get nice job offers, but I already run a business so that's low on my priority list. That is what will matter in the long run. Former grateful for the Corps/military, but it's not really career-friendly and if you're a go-getter, intelligent, etc. it will be more of a handicap after some time.

I don't know if you looked at it the right way. You'd be a way better officer, having all the knowledge and experience of an enlisted Marine and then being an O-1 / Lieutenant. Really they should put green to golds straight to O-2 / 2nd Lieutenant. Now what I just stated here is based on my experience, which is Army. So if the ranks are different forgive me. If you think it's bad though going from an E-5 to an O-1, and kind of starting over; well here's my story: I went in the Army in 1998 at the age of 33 after working many years in Atlantic City casinos as a Slot Technician. I was burned out of working there, but because my father was a WW2 soldier, a corporal and he never spoke badly about the Army believe it or not I went in. And in NJ the cutoff age was 34 years old and I was just a year younger than that. I went in for an $8,000 bonus for an MOS of 63T, a Bradley Fighting Vehicle hull mechanic and my first duty station was in Colorado. Also, I was married like a few months when I decided to join, so after Basic and AIT I lived off post with her. I did not go to Iraq because the year before the war began in 2003 I signed another contract to re-class, change MOS to a position in signal, working in SATCOM, as a SATCOM Operator/ Maintainer, grade was E-4 and then finally I made Sergeant. Anyway it was tough my wife and I have 2 children, but the younger one is a boy with low-functioning autism so by 2010 I got out. And that's when things got really difficult, because I was 45 years old and because it was tough running a couple miles a few times a week. I did 8 more years the same rank, Sergeant, and so that equals 20 years of service so I got out in 2018 for good!!! Pension starts at age 60 in about 6 months so I'm good.

Thank you Nathan for showing a way to get started earning online income with very low capital outlay. Too many of the so called guru's are only trying to sell expensive courses. They always offer a free method to make money in the thumbnail and intro but forget to talk about that method specifically as they seem distracted by their mansions, yachts and super cars while they recount their explosive rise from homelessness a few months prior to the video. Your getting new people started with a new hobby that earns money when they follow simple directions, an excellent Freedom Influencer video!

I just created my first video and yes, it is so easy to create videos using this platform, especially for the beginner. However, I'm thinking for the more advanced marketer, Canva, Pexels, and similar programs where you can further customize your videos are best, or can you customize with this platform? As always, Nathan comes through! Thanks again for the insight.

You will be able to customize these videos. They are working on this now or have already released it.
