I thought the "slingshot" aerial is when the lady crouches from behind the man, the man grabs her arms under the man's belt, and then slingshots the lady through the man's legs and finishes with a sort of an "up" aerial. It had been used in jitterbug and rock-and-roll, as well as Lindy dancing.
