What do you do when you buy a 11 yr old car at a buy here pay here places (America's Car-Mart) and it's NEVER ran since you bought it? It now has 183k I've had it 1 yr 6 months and it will not run it's not safe and they have told me lie after lie that they fixed it. I can't afford it anymore bc I have to rent cars and pay Uber or Lyft. So therefore I can't pay my car payment. They charge a "tax fee" every 6 months you either pay it (1 is 928 in April) the other is 735 (due in Sept) and they say it's to "keep payments and interest low ...BS) they don't mind adding those to your loan making it a higher payment and adding it to your loan. It's 400 a month and I owe over 13k. Ik buying it was a bad deal. Banks won't touch it bc of the price age and milage. They took it even though I was 2 days late (they have a 15 day grace period. They told me they didn't know where it was at first. Then they said they laughed and said "well you are always grilping about it now it's gone then they said they took it for repairs and would keep me posted when it's "fixed' supposedly it's had several axels bearings motor mounts tons of things that after I get it back it runs 2 days and its back to it's old self of not running. They claim on their website their vehicles have tires brakes any engine or electrical issues all in great shape. My car came with no brakes 2 mm on front 3mm on back) dry rotted tires I noticed after all the shine came off and smelling like burnt plastic. It had a massive oil leak and I've battles this for over a yr. It's not dependable or even safe. What do I do? I was mad I said I'm volunteering giving it back bot in email and over the phone and they are harassing me about payment's yet they won't even let me pick it up even though I made my payment of 400. I'm fed up I'm emotionally mentally and financially drained from it

Lawyers are full of it repo is illegally read ur 14 Amendment and United States constitution if u do ur research u will see that lawyer are not needed read consumer law truth and lending act bank and banking mainly read the 14 amendment on a situation like this about repo is a 3 party and see what it says about 3 party stop listen to these lawyers and read and research for urself

The biggest drawback to the lawyer for sole proprietorship is that we don't need a lawyer.

Henry Ford mass produced cars to be affordable to everyone, & you paid cash for a new car. My dad paid cash for a new Chevrolet Bel Air in 1957 & he was a working man but nowadays new cars are financed & rarely is there ever a cash buyer from what I saw working at a new car store. If you can't pay cash for it then YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT ! We have a stupid government that allows this insanity to go on & it's out of control. The US economy is driven on borrowed money with all this corporate socialism. And I agree with this guy the way new car dealerships operate is morally & ethically WRONG !!!! It's a suckers game & socialism is great until you run out of everyone else' money.

Buying a new car is a bad investment & waste of money as all new cars lose value with age. And financing is even worse it's good for the dealership but the buyer is screwed in the long run. By the time the car is paid off the car won't be worth much a $35,000 new car in 3 or 4 years is only worth $11,000 it's money out the window. And life happens you can lose your job as job security is not what it used to be. It's better & more sensible to pay cash or finance a classic car as they retain & go up in value but can also go down even a house is up & down. Years ago when I had money I invested in vintage cars & I saw how volatile & fickle the market is. If a '57 Chevy Bel Air Convertible can go down in value than any car can. But it's still a better investment than a new car. Banks need to stop financing new & used cars for more than what the cars are really worth. And the buyers need to come up with at least 50% cash down & never buy a "certified pre-owned" car they are just OVERPRICED USED CARS. If a certified pre-owned car sells for $11,000 at a new car store it's only really worth $4,000 to a used car dealer or private party.

My first car was paid cash in full. Same with my second through fifth cars. I finally took the plunge for my sixth and current car bc I wanted something newer with less time spent at the mechanics lol. I bought a used 2009 suv in 2010 with next to no miles on it. I paid it all off early, but man, my stress and anxiety levels were so high being a slave to the lender, and that was being in good standing and current on payments. I hate having debt! I can only imagine what others must feel like who are behind on a payment😳

Being in the business I'd like to know where I can buy 25K cars for 5K I don't this Attorney understands negative equity, or the fact car prices are not only market driven but inflated by government mandates, backup cameras, tire pressure monitors, electronic stability control, antilock brakes, front and side airbags, seatbelt retractors, stringent emission controls increasing fuel economy demands which necessitate expensive 6, 8 and 9 speed transmisssions, direct injection, and reducing internal engine drag by loosening tolerances which detrimentally decrease service life of cars.
