I love how no one can build european quality stuff in America. If you compare this with the european counterparts you notice it is severly lacking on multiple departments, especially details.

I bet most of the labor was done by slaves🤐 Bet all the building cost was in materials!

Slavery ended 3 decades before it was built. They actually used very skilled laborers who knew what they were doing. During its construction, many citizens of Ashville were gainfully employed!

Is this where Anderson Cooper was raised and where his brother committed suicide? Wonder if that pink room with the satanic alter above the bed is there still or if all that was in another house.

Anderson Cooper didn't grow up here. And no satanic alter was ever in the home. Colorful imagination you have.

My Grandparents lived a few miles from Biltmore and my wife and I visited it many times when we visited them. We haven't been back to Asheville since my Grandmother passed in 95. Now we are getting up in the years, it would sure be nice to visit Asheville and Biltmore one last time.

I've lived about 10 minutes from the place pretty much my whole life. Have not been there once in my life. Quite honestly I've never been interested in it. One location I lived at you could see it clearly from the front porch. Saw it everyday for about 10 years, just ignored it.

For what they charge i wouldn't bother either. I'm sure its great but not $80 dollars per person great just to see someone's freakin house. Not a chance. I'm so glad I turned around and drove away. Don't regret a second of it
