so the impact wave was not getting the knock back increases because it is not a spell. most of the upgrades you were getting where for spells. why impact wave is not considered a spell, i dont know, but thats what i think was the problem. Would love to see more of your journey :D I made sure to add 3 new mouse cursor colors and change some descriptions based on your video :D (Patch is live) I have to clarify one thing about the Relic of Opposites (reverse crit rate), Elewar has a mechanic called negative crit, which means that your critical strike chance can go into the negatives, up to minus 100% crit chance. On crit: dmg is multiplied by crit multi On negative crit: dmg is divived by crit multi Later on you may use this to your advantage :) The game wont stop introducing new systems up until the very endgame.

I'm definitely going to be playing more of this. I think you've put together a lot of fun systems and interactions that I haven't seen before in this genre, like the negative crit. The Relic of Opposites is definitely throwing my weak math brain for a loop. Now I don't have the text of Relic of Opposites in front of me to read and compare to your clarification, but does that mean that when you have relic of opposites, if you got your crit chance into the negative that you basically have the chance to essentially get critical hits again while also keeping the damage boost? Or does that boost go away? I'm very excited to see the new systems! I just unlocked equipment after this video and that's opened up a WHOLE NEW CAN OF WORMS lol!

It's like watching someone with a learning disability play games. You just kite away from all your xp non stop effectively you level 1/3 as fast as you should. You hyper focus stupid ideas like standing in front of the boss to outrage and still keep getting hit rather than circling not getting hit and getting your xp. These games are simple and Content creators all seem to be morons who rely on permanent game progress to do any better. It's sad how trash everyone is. A normal person pucks up this game and goes oh this person I watched really is just retarded. This game is easy

You're correct. You want to get all 5 weapons and passive first, then use the towers to get bonus weapons and passive. If you do it the other way around when you level up, you won't go past 5.

Yay you made good use of the map :D. Btw if you kill stuff early on and don't run arround like crazy you get enough levels to kill the first boss with ease normaly. Skillpicks before you maxed actives and passives is meh.

I got it a few days ago for my steamdeck it's janky true but I see what the devs are going for it's not as polished as sifu but the announcer deserves credit the combos are awesome most previews of the game don't know or show combos they just swing wildly but with the gunplay and the fighting it's like John wick and ps THERE IS TUTORIALS ON GUNS AND AIMING LOOK AGAIN 😅😅😅

i can agree to this as i went up against the last two bosses in B rank, and didnt get hurt while standing still, they got deleted instantly. it is absolutely busted, but my god it is funny. i got it done by using the defence as power passive buff (this alone is busted).

it was the second time i went into b rank, been playing for 2 days. oh i had corruption start at 20 and finish over 100 lol damage was 58k base (summons were in the billions per second) damage mitigation was 91.5% cit chance 100% cit hit 4000%

i have strat with warrior i beat entire game using only sword stats are 500% damage bloodveil 100% crit chance 400% crit damage 112 damage 60% armor for damage buff 8 hp regen 100% attack speed and 40% movespeed i got very lucky with echo knot and power knots (i used no knot of fate) swords are cooler than bows also edit: i just did a run and i did 69.036.358 damage with bloodveil only i think it was like 5840 damage per hit but the sword is multi hit so *2 11680 damage per hit (i 3 shot the boss, counting each hit as it's own, not counting multi hit)

I cant help but think this run would have been infiniltely easier with manual aim instead of autoaim. You can more reliably select nearby lowhp enemies than whatever this autoaim was trying to do.

Challenges were quite a bit harder back in the day. They were made when later worlds and equipment didnt exist. Still got most done other than the really cursed ones. The newer weapon evelutioins help as well.

Super strange decision to not allow any unlocks during the demo, kinda of a joke considering the most fun parts of roguelites are when you become OP and the only taste of the game this demo gives is the very beginning when you typically just get smacked in the genre. Doubtful i'll bother

If you're running blood transmutation , boiling blood + love & hate, then you don't need any base power or power multiplier increases. Just stack max health and you may reach millions of power.

It could be a translation thing. One of the updates of steam stated that they are still working with translators to complete the english translation. I noticed a few translation issues while playing. Although it could also have something to do with Yggdrasil given it's representation as a tree and this game's norse theme. This is all speculation of course.

You could do that, as long as you kept musician as your leader, until you mastered the leadership skill. Otherwise it won't trigger.

That last run was hard to watch when you take 4 of the worst skills neglect the seeress best attack skill mindblast. As for the objective you died on did you forget you are ranged that objective sucks for berserker but not for seeress she can just basic attack it outside while still using skills on the horde. You can hold left click to override automatic aiming btw.

Your last point is fair, I was playing like the sacrificial pylons thinking the bubble was also to start the objective, as well as thinking of my previous experience with the berserker where obviously I had to get up close due to his attack being melee. Just a brain fart there. Which 4 skills are you referring to? Honestly, I don't know yet which are the strongest picks and which aren't, so I'm just trying everything and seeing what works.

@@Ganyonz Divine wave, gambateinn, valkyrie descent and briar thorns all need a huge buff. The only good freya skill is golden disks. Thor best pick is thunderstorm you can just leave it at level one if you want it helps so much. Sentinel is godly from level 1 to evolve. Mjolnir is meh good single target but that usually isn't a problem in this game.

I believe the magic card you were thinking of is Chains of Mephistopheles or necropotence. Both had very confusing early printings that got errata’d. Game looks fun though, gonna try the demo myself

No, it wasn't either of those. Although Necro is closer to what I was thinking. It was more drastic though. Kind of like the opposite of the basic land secret lairs that are all text. But if you started with that, then later designed basic lands like we know them now.
