The Boston Braves only appeared in one World Series, and that was in 1914, when they were referred to as the "Miracle Braves". This guy is either drunk, or just full of shit. The '35 Braves finished last, I believe, and Ruth retired in May. He hit .181 with 6 homers and was 40 years old. The Braves only took him as a publicity stunt, hoping he could still hit a few home runs.
@kennethdonnelly24022 жыл бұрын
His intentions are good, but he is wrong on a lot of things. But I did love going to the old park and sitting alongside the wall in the lower left field stands. I was there on Bat Day 1972 with 51,000 fans when Allen hit the famous game winning , pinch hit homer off Lyle in the second game. Allen's home run was a moon shot, not a liner. Just like his roof shot off of Cuellar.

Where do you get your facts buddy? Babe Ruth was NOT with the Boston Braves in 1915. He was with the Boston Red Sox and it was in 1935 (also his last year playing) when he joined the Braves after the Yankees cut him. Also, the Cubs borrowed the park for the 1918 World Series against the Red Sox, not 1915/16 against the Yankees like you mentioned.
