The quality and fidelity of the Klipsch is so tangible you could reach and pluck those sweet sound waves through the air…and I bet they taste like freshly baked cinnamon rolls. In the Skunk Lips song, the guitar strums and vocals have so much richness to them while hearing from the Detroit compared to the Extreme. Honestly I am super impressed. Was looking up for comparisons between the Marshall Middleton and Charge 5, then I discovered your video of the Detroit vs Charge 5. I’m pretty much sold on the Detroit already, but would love to see it compared to the Middleton. Thank you for putting in the work and uploading these sound tests.

Really appreciate how responsive you are in the comments and getting your hands on the latest equipments. How is the latency during video playback/movies when using a pair of Nashvilles in True Wireless Stereo mode? It's something that I haven't been able to find information on, but I suspect the extra processing would induce a noticeable delay, that would be a deal breaker for me. If I'm in search for sound quality and prioritises a wider sound stage over deep bass (I'd prefer a tight, snappy bass as opposed to a boomy one) mainly for the living room but may occasionally require portability, would you recommend a pair of Nashvilles on TWS or a solo Detroit (I think quite a few others have a similar question it'd be worth looking into)? It would be amazing, could even be the first on the internet, if you could do a direct comparison between the popular Nashville(s), Emberton II(s) and Soundlink Flex(s) (ahem, Tribits) in solo and paired mode, and how you think a pair might stack up against their larger, stereo, siblings. Cheers for the insightful review as always.
@AudioInsideScoop8 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching and for the input! Don't get me wrong, I love the Detroit but, the Nashville is probably my favorite in the line. Bass does seem to be a bit tighter, love the 360 sound, and the portability is huge. Not quite pocket sized but, can def go anywhere with ya. As for the latency, long as it's a later gen source, you shouldn't be an issue. I do have plans to compare to marshall, as well as several others here in the near future. Stay tuned :)

The klipsch battery is kinda meh. How’s the battery life compared to the JBL extreme3 ?
@AudioInsideScoop7 күн бұрын
Honestly depends on use case. If you're full volume constant, either one will have rough battery and both will be better the more conservative you are. Honestly, I think the Klipschs tend to be a bit better but only slightly. For the most part fairly similar.

I am torn. Two of Nashvilles paired up as a stereo OR One of The Detroit?
@AudioInsideScoop7 күн бұрын
There are perks to both. I would tend to lean more towards the two Nashvilles as, it's a portable speaker so, portability is a huge factor. Nashville can toss in a bag where...Detroit has to be carried like a bag. Will mostly come down to personal preferences and use case though. What works best for you. Drop a comment when you decide and let me know either wah.:)

I feel like at times, brands like to charge for their name, but a lot of times it comes down to reputation and expertise, as well as staying power. Is the off brand going to be around in 5 years? You asked a lot of great questions, thanks for the video!

Thanks for watching! For sure and totally agree. There are costs associated with R&D, Marketing, Distribution, and so forth as well. The difference in price isn't always just markup but, as a customer, that's what we see the most. I like to see brands that actually have a high push for R&D and use that markup for bettering themselves and their products.

Klipsch is better. I have both. Hands down the Klipsch is leagues ahead. The Jbl is way too bright and way too much midbass. Even when taking it to the equalizer it doesn’t do much. I would write klipsch speaker sound of 9.5 out of 10 and the Jbl six out of 10. In person there is no contest

The Klipsch Detroit is twice the price of the Klipsch Nashville but is it worth the extra cost? I'm mostly concerned about sound quality - clarity, bass, treble that is not harsh or brittle, sound separation, etc.
@AudioInsideScoopАй бұрын
Really going to depend on your needs. You'll get more lows out of the Nashville and more raw output but, as far as clarity, they will both be super clean. Super crisp. You'll get better stereo separation out of the Detroit because, while the Nashville has two drivers, they are used for 360 sound so, ones on the front and ones on the back so, I would guess it's configured mono. For stereo, the Detroit would be the way to go. That said, an option you didn't mention would be 2x Nashvilles in broadcast stereo mode. Will get you nice clarity, as wide of stereo separation as your room would allow, and same cost as Detroit. Less actually with current sale prices. Not as much low frequency but, still the same clarity and, if you want, you can just take one as a convenient travel companion.

Klipsch has been killin' it lately bro. I love my Austin and Nashville speakers, I use the Austin at work and I keep the Nashville in the garage. I just ordered the 2.1 Heritage speakers with the subwoofer to replace my old Logitech set for my gaming setup I'm sure it's gonna sound great. I've gone through quite a few JBL bluetooth speakers and I'm glad I switched over, the sound quality is superb I would compare it to Bose

Thanks for watching! Totally agree. Loving these new portables. You won't be disappointed with the 2.1. I have one on each of my computer setups and it's Def the best bang for the buck. As for the bose though, I feel like they exceed them by far. Haven't compared to the bose portables (yet) but...anything else I've heard, klipsch blows Bose away.

I'd give the Detroit an edge on lifestyle due to the vulnerable radiators on the ends of the Charge. It was always a concern of mine when I had a Charge 5.

Pure and natural sound is boring… it seems that Klipsh has not yet learned to reconcile sound quality with fun. Harman/k, JBL, BOSE, etc know how to make portable speakers to sound as they should.
@AudioInsideScoop2 ай бұрын
Personally, I like a speaker that doesn't alter the artists intentions. It's up to the artists and studio to create something that's not boring and make it awesome. The speakers job is to reproduce the sound given, not to alter it. That said, peoples opinions differ in the things they like. If you want more color than what the artists provided, both speakers offer an app to EQ so, win win!
@jedolivier26882 ай бұрын
I went on Crutchfield’s website, & according to the specifications, it states 15 x 2 wattage for the Detroit. I hope this isn’t accurate. $299.99 for a 30 watt speaker? They can do better for that price. I’ve never listened to it, & I’m sure it sounds good, but it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s a 30 watt speaker for $299.99.
@AudioInsideScoop2 ай бұрын
Not looking at the specs at this moment but, honeslty-- doesnt really matter. Not sure why people are so hung up on wattage. Could have 150 Watts into a super inefficient speaker vs 50 into a efficient one and the efficient one will take the cake. Gotta look at a speaker as a whole instead of just the individualized numbers. If it sounds better, it sounds better. If it has more output, it has more output. The spec sheet doesn't change that. My 2 cents anyways.
@jedolivier26882 ай бұрын
@@AudioInsideScoop If it's going to be used as an in - home speaker sure, that's perfectly fine. At the same time, when talking about size, overall portability, price, & last but not least VOLUME. When using a speaker outside, you lose certain sound characteristics, which is when volume plays a big part in conjunction with it's overall size & price for value of those portable watts. For the size, power & price of the DETROIT I'd use it inside only, getting the most out of it over the course of years. Like I said, I've never listened to it, & I'm sure it sounds really good. At the same time, for outside use there are other options out there that are considerably cheaper, providing you with more volume & or loudness, which is vital in outdoor situations.
@BigRalphN2 ай бұрын
@@AudioInsideScoopabsolutely correct about efficiency. Also speaker handling power, enclosure design, and so much more comes I to play. A lot of cheap high wattage units clip and max volume or sound like a super loud cell phone speaker with no clarity whatsoever. But not everyone has the same ear. If they think a cheap speaker sounds as giidvthen by all means go cheap and save your cash. For me, so many small and cheap units are like nails on a chalkboard.
