Love the new additions! One idea for above a TV is installing a single floating shelf that’s about the same length as the width of the TV. It almost creates a look similar to a mantle above a fireplace. Then you can put whatever you want on it for decor- candles, vases, plants, etc. Trailing plants can look nice on either side of it hanging down, almost framing the TV in greenery 🌱

I remember when we moved into an apartment after living in an RV and everything felt so huge and I was so grateful for the little things too! Esp. the bathroom and kitchen. Congrats on your place! I have to make those gummies soon ☺

I never realized how much my insecurities stemmed from my mom’s insecurities. She never talk down to me about my looks. She always talked me up, but I would hear her say things to herself like “ I can’t go outside like this looking like a bug”(literal translation, it doesn’t sound as weird in Spanish). And I don’t blame her at all, but it’s funny the things that you remember as a child.

2020 and masks brought me some trouble with my face. I was breaking out from the masks. I tried so many treatments. Then finally I thought. Let me just go back to the basics. Stopped wearing masks. Stopped using acne treatment. No makeup. And after about 6 months, my face cleared up ! Sometimes I miss it a little bit. But over all I’m very grateful that I don’t need 30 minutes to get ready to go anywhere anymore. lol.

Your new place is looking great! I also am hooked on making gummies :) The recipe I use calls for Kombucha, blended up frozen fruit like berries or mango, honey and of course gelatin. Then you just heat it up in a little sauce pan and I pour mine into heart shaped silicone moulds <3 Because of the fruit they might have a more dense and less Jello like consistency than yours. I think I will try out your recipe too!

You look gorgeous both ways! I love makeup and it takes me literally 5-10min max. I don't do anything with my hair except putting some almond oil into it to tame the crazy frizz! Simple and easy. The problem is we are advertised that we need to add so much extra makeup or hair products and effort that adds to the time and it doesn't need to be so complex. Funnily I think most of us look our best when coming out of nature, I look my best when I've come out of the ocean or exercising!

It’s a complex subject because of the deeper implications about vanity, social norms, societal standards of beauty, self acceptance, self expression, the message we send to young girls- there’s just so much there! And I don’t think you need this reassurance, because your fast from makeup probably already taught you this, but I still think it’s worth saying- you are so beautiful either way! ✨ On my no makeup journey I’m happy to say that I’m currently comfortable in daily life without any (which is a point I didn’t think I would reach). On occasions when I want to feel more dressed up, just tinted moisturizer and mascara is enough to make me feel like a have a full face of makeup on, since I’m now used to seeing myself without it.
