Yep, an angle grinder is a dangerous weapon in inexperienced hands, but you won’t be doing that again. Definitely not designed for flat surfaces. A random orbital sander would be a good investment.

You've got the backbone of a decent channel- the backbone is the boat and group of mates.. The 'narrated' parts won't work as it lacks sincerity (and who wants to watch a TV style show anyway.). A bit of goofing around is fine, but if that's all you're bringing then I don't reckon that's got legs either. Not every single second of a video has to be filled with 'dialogue'. Good luck anyway, just not to my taste.

*Me and 2 friends of mine also did the same thing, we are crossing from Jepara to Karimun Jawa (60km) in a 3.5meter inflatable boat with a 5.8hp parsun outboard. It was a great journey for the first 5 hours, we were all soaked in water, also a friend of mine started to have heavy seasick, our gps navigation (Sony Xperia) was failed because soaked in water too, so we decided to go back after 15km away. We cant even find the dock, because the land is all the same from the sea. Also u need a marine radio, and all have to be waterproof.*
