I bet if Lin Dan made it to the finals of Rio Olympics then Chen Long would not win that gold medal
@subhamdutta6326Күн бұрын
Even Lin Dan also perspires and breathes heavy while playing against Chen Long. No doubt he managed to cling medals in the Olympics in three consecutive times.

Do you mind doing slow motions of Lin Dan’s technique? Especially his jump smash, overhead smash, stick smash and late forehand clear

2008 LD maybe dominant but he's just strong attacker there while 2009 LD is the scariest form imo. Attacker + Defend + Power + Speed + Fast Reaction + Control + Fit asf Physique + Confident + Highest Level Techniques & Tactics dude is just complete set here. No one ever come close to this LD and I'm saying it as a HUGE LCW fan.
@akshatjayakar89072 күн бұрын
Not completely imo. the 2009 version seems more complete and threatening than the 2011 version fr sure. But I'm sure you're only refering to the 2008 olympic lin dan here. THAT lin dan was furiously fast and incredible pace and attack. HOWEVER throughout olympics ( if you look at his matches against peter gade or chen jin or park ) he ALSO had perfect defence. Even in the finals his touch and blocks were just absolute perfections, gently gliding down the net. He obviously had amazing stamina to do long rallies as well (as noted in the semifinal againts chen jin). But that's just the Olympics, if you see the match of him playing against lcw in china open later the year, he was impeccable in his speed and attack but also had the perfect wall defence ( he was almost always covering every corner.) So IMO, yes 2009 lin dan was AMAZING but honestly lin dan was pretty much perfect in his game by 2008. Even if you put a 2011 lcw against a 2008/9 lin dan, lcw would still loose honestly.

It's insane how if the lift/clear are not to the base line are hit back as winners. So much threats from the back court.

people shit on LCW for always losing to LD (which to a degree is accepted since their H2H record absolutely destroys LCW), but a good amount of their games is always pushed to 3 sets and is a close game. Look at this game for example, LD beats the shit out of everyone during his prime and only LCW gives him a real challenge. If LCW wasnt born during LD era, LD would dominate singles so clearly itd almost be boring to watch badminton. Shout out LCW for being probably the only real opponent to challenge LD for his throne, but at the end of the day LD is GOAT

What made LD (STILL) the best is that he plays you. True smart player. I love that he is not eager to make smashes and fast shots all the time. He makes them at the right time with patience. Unlike badminton nowadays. SUPER BORING to watch because all they does is see who can out-smashes or out-run each other.

Amazing display of control and pace from Lin Dan, Tago was simply more irritated and rushed, leading to him making more errors and taking poorer shot choices, contribuing to his loss in this match. Slight error in the description also Badminton Finder, Lee Chong Wei fights Lin Dan sooner in the Semi's if I recall 😂
