If you want some extra frames or if you're happy with the framerate and want to raise other graphical settings you can do this: Graphics upscaling to AMD FSR, Under that set 3d Resolution scaling to 75 or if you want even more frames set it to 50 but 50 may be very blurry on 1080p. Make sure Enable dynamic resolution is disabled when you do this(unchecked). (If this bothers you and you want a clear image then just set it to 100 and you'll get the normal image, this option is if you want a performance boost). (AMD FSR is open source and it works on any brand, just because you have an Nvidia card, you're at no disadvantage of using this over an AMD GPU. Nvidia's upscaling requires specific GPUs and only Nvidia can use it). (The DLSS version compared to the FSR version added to ff14 is much newer and also better visually, however you need specific Nvidia gpus and i've also heard users saying that the Nvidia one lowered their benchmark score over FSR). The most demanding graphical settings for your GPU is probably: reflections, set this to standard or high, or if you really dont care, disable it, you should still get the shine on things like skin and water though. I'm not sure about the new Edge smoothing technique, but normally its disabled in games when you use AI upscaling but im not sure if it disables with FSR 1.0 the version in the game. But i would disable Edge smoothing as i think FSR may cause it to have more of a trailing effect in motion. FXAA is very cheap and its what we have in current FF14 but it may look very blurry with FSR and FSR should do a good enough job on its own at smoothing stuff. (if you dont want to use FSR and performance isn't an issue, use TSCMAA as it looks quite good at smoothing out sharp edges, if you want the previous and probably much less demanding on the GPU method, then use FXAA). Transparent lighting quality is quite demanding so i would set this to normal. I find a hard time seeing the difference in current FF14 with this, there maybe some comparisons on google if you're curious. Parallax occlusion and Tessellation create like a 3d warping effect on textures, if you google those names, you'll see what it does if you don't already know. I personally don't like these effects because at certain camera angles i think its ugly, its more of a taste thing but they will cause your gpu to work harder. With shadows you could probably use 1080p shadows just fine, the most demanding settings will be Cascading, set that one to Normal(or if you really hate shadows and want performance, off will disable them all together). Shadow softening probably isnt too taxing, but it can also be a taste thing, i prefer slightly sharper shadows so i would use Weak or Strong, Strongest will be more GPU taxing. Cast shadows is a new setting, i'm not sure of it's impact but i suspect this is probably high, i would set normal or if performance is key, then minimum. Texture resolution, you may be able to get away with this on High. If your VRAM(Video memory) is full in task manager half way in the benchmark then set it to Normal. Texture resolution doesn't cause that much GPU load on itself same with the filtering, this technique is old but good enough so they dont impact modern hardware much. So i would use Anisotropic on x8. Movement Physics are done with the CPU i think in ff14, i would use both on Simple or if you are laggy in a city like LImsa you can try set this to off for others and see if it has any effect. Screen Space Ambient Occlusion is very demanding for GPUs so i would just set this to Light rather than off. Light would be much nicer as it will still add some occlusion to corners. (look at the white brick walls in Limsa if you want to see what it does in game). Glare is also very demanding on the GPU in ff14 set to Normal, i would use low, the difference between is very hard to tell, before Dawntrial this option could be turned off, but in the benchmark it can't be. i would just use low, if you want to see what it does, look at a lamp in a city like Uldah. Hope something here helps. :)

If you want even more frames you can install MSI afterburner(works with all gpus, it's just the softwares name). Once you've installed it you can increase the power limit on your card, up to 110 or 120%. It will only cause it to boost more(which all cards do now by default(turbo or OC its labeled on the box), if your temperature is good you'll get a higher frame rate. You can set a fan curve in the properties of the program if you want a more aggresive fan curve, it'll just mean it gets louder. (If you can't raise the power limit, Nvidia locked it on newer cards, this one is for the uploader as i know it should work on that card). This will be fine to do, it'll not cause any crashing or problems, If you want to overclock you can just raise the Core clock by around 50, press Apply and if your game or pc doesn't crash then you have free performance gains. (you can keep adding 10MHz till it crashes or you see flashing pixels/triangles then go back around 30-50MHz). You can do the same with memory clock too, this one is more likely to just crash your PC when you hit the limit. (But it can likely be pushed further (100 or even 300Mhz). when it crashes to be safe go back 200mhz. If you crash your PC by pushing these clocks, it'll just reboot and be fine, then you can open the program and lower it a little below what crashed it. Your card has a thermal limit so it'll just drop clock speeds if it gets too warm. It can't cause damage as it'll just turn off before that happens. If you want to want to push your GPU to even more heights you raise the Core voltage but you'll still not be able to damage your GPU unless you find a way to remove the restrictions. but i wont explain how to do this, you'll just have to look it up. Raising the voltage allows you to push the core clock further without it crashing but your gpu will run hotter and reach its thermal limit faster so then you need a more aggressive fan curve. (thermal limit is not bad, it's just the limit the clock will lower or steady at on its own which is all by design to prevent overheating.) (each chip is built the same but at the atomic scale they are not the same so chip manufacturers allow some room for overhead when they sell GPUs so this is why there is no harm in trying to see if you can get some free gains). But if you do the first things i said you'll get 5 to 10 extra frames for sure in ff14.
