Emil Tarding is a Danish former child actor, AFAIK he stopped acting around 2000. IDK what happened to him, probably moved on to a normal life with a regular job.

French is such a beautiful language, it sings. I ve visited versailles and the grandeur of louis 14th is quite well preserved, I highly reccomend it, worth a visit.

You can watch the French series entitled Versailles too. The plot also takes place at Versailles during the reign of the same king, Louis XIV. It is available in English too.

Je me souviens avoir vu ce film en salle avec ma copine de l'époque. Le film avait eu un avis favorable dans la presse chez nous surtout parce que le réalisateur était belge. J'avais adoré ! Elle avait détesté. On a continué a discuter un peu après le film et c'est ce soir là que je me suis rendu compte, grâce à ce film, après 2 ans de relation, que cette fille et moi n'avions rien en commun :)

Quand on aime l'histoire c'est impossible d'aimer quelqu'un qui s'en fout parce que ça en dit aussi long sur la curiosité intellectuelle de la personne. Dieu merci c'est un des domaines qui est le plus populaire, donc on peut trouver d'autre ce nest pas ça qui manque

similar scene in the made for tv version of "man in the iron mask." richard chamberlain as louis xiv and his twin philipe also puts me in the mind of roman emperor nero in the various movie versions of "quo vadis." he presumed to be an inspired poet and dancer. he performed for the court, when not indulging in his sadistic cruelties and decadent parties...flattered and encouraged by his "arbiter of elegance' petronius.
