Isn't there another one where if you wear that one dudes Armor you fight in the DLC I'm pretty sure, that he does something similar? I think it's supposed to be his owner or something? My memory might be failing me.

This is exactly the one. If you rescue sif, he will drop a shield that artorias has used. then you need to equip it to get this cutscene. you can see it on my back in the video
