Dialed in nicely man. I find 7 string guitars to be a pain in the ass sometimes to get that brutal tone without getting fogged out and muddy. Appreciate the break down, ive played for 8 years and sometimes just find myself twisting knobs for far too long to achieve my "ideal tone" to no avail and just jump to my headrush with presets. But im now satisfied with pure head 😆 new subscriber 🫡

Let me know, is it possible to lower the tuning of the guitar using the pitch shifter in Donner? I used one in Hotone Ampero, but it changes the tone sooo much. My setup is Drop C but I have some songs in Drop A(#) and Drop D, is this possible?

How does six outputs coming out of the P-1 attach to a single FRFR speaker with a single Aux In. Goal is to play along with backing tracks with my Quad Cortex thru the FRFR speaker. Previously, you stated I would need a mixer (6 channel I presume) which leaves me wondering>> 6 outputs to the mixer? How does the Mixer connect to the single Aux In? Do you have recommendation on an inexpensive Mixer?

@@michaelpal7641 dude if you don't know how to hook up basic equipment maybe this is not for you. I've never seen an FRFR with just one aux in. Something is off with you you claim you got a quad cortex but you don't know how to hook it up with any other equipment. 🤔

The fact that I have a Quad Cortex is irrelevant to my P-1 questions-My issue is that I am trying to learn as much as possible about this device, to use with my Quad Cortex & FRFR speaker in a small acoustic gig. The P-1 costs $600 dollars! I don't want to spend $600 dollars and then find out I need an additional mixer. In closing-Why don't you tell me how the actual connection of the P-1 to a Laney LFR 112 is accomplished!

Yeah keeping the fingers closer to the fret board is something I'm actively working on. I never worried about it my entire guitar career until now so I gotta unlearn what I do haha.

One thing that needs to be said (that no one EVER says) is that these pedals are best through the FX return as a preamp pedal. They lose a lot of power and clarity in front of an amp. I don’t know why no one ever says this. Maybe because these reviews are worthless to anyone without an effects return?

What's up man! Thank you so much for watching! 😁 So with the P-1 I wouldn't use the Aux just because from my experience it consolidates all the tracks. If you can get a mixer with 6 channels that would work great if you can plug a mixer into your Laney LFR. And use the individual 1/4 inch outputs on the back to go to the different channels on the mixer that way you can adjust each part separately. If you're doing drums and bass together I recommend bouncing them as a stereo track for width. A stereo track will fill two of the 6 outputs on the P-1 so definitely keep that in mind so the two outputs would go to two channels on the mixer and I'd just pan one of the channels left and the other right to keep that width. Or you could do what I do and I make a really nice sounding mix with everything and export that as a stereo track and work it that way. Kinda like what I did in my video. And yes the price is a bit high for alot of people. These types of players are an essential for me while on stage and I love what they do 😁 I hope this helps out my friend!

Trying to figure out how this would integrate with the Quad Cortex. Running a Laney LFR-112 as a solo acoustic act with the Quad Cortex. Having a method to record my original music and port the drums, bass and rhythm guitar and possibly a backing vocal would be like finding the holy grail-If the damn thing actually works. I tried exporting a basic track, from my DAW without guitar and vocals, as an MP3 and I only got one side of the song. Also, the Laney LFR 112 Aux In does not have any volume/mixer capabilities. Like I stated, trying to see how I would get those tracks to actually "play" thru the Laney Aux In. Using the Idoru, it looks like I plug the P-1 into the Laney's Aux In?

600 dollars. There are better and cheaper options. The boss RC 500 half the price. It only has two outputs and has MIDI. Does not need an SD card. You can store up to 3 hours of music. On 99 different tracks. And it's 32-bit 44.1 and it's the same pedal format. And if you are going to spend that kind of money you might as well go with something that can play video as well like the B-Beat. This is definitely a cool product but they need to bring the price down to about 250 300. Otherwise this is a hard pass. You can get way more for your money.

I definitely see where you're coming from 600 is a bit to choke down. The main issue with the Boss RC500 for me is the fact that it only has 2 outputs. In my situation I wouldn't be able to send a click track to my drummer and tracks to front of house with the lack of outputs. And I don't mind the SD card because I can increase the amount that the P-1 can hold just by getting a bigger sd card. Nothing is a one size fits all. In my case this definitely does everything I need

Yeah some XLR outputs would be a great addition to see on this guy. Alot of the backing track players that I've worked with come with just the 1/4 inch outputs. Not sure why

Haha it's funny how small of a world it is man! This is one of the few times I Drift over to your side of music equipment. But yeah I was very happy with the P-1 one thing that might stop people from getting this is the price. Which I totally understand. But great to take the place of the LP 16 😁

Brilliant idea but grossly overpriced! If they sold for 200-250 i might consider one. I guess I could see the value for those that rely on backing tracks for most of their shows. Personally, I walk a fine line with backing tracks and of the few projects I'm in, some musicians I play with can't stand them, others are cool with them. Guess I'll have to stick with my phone!

Yeah I definitely understand the price my friend. I like having the tracks because anything that I can't play live is still able to be played. I wouldn't want to leave part of my songs out or it'd just sound empty to me. Backing tracks are definitely a touchy topic with some people forsure 😅 I try to understand both sides though

Not a fan of technology designed to replace the live performance out of live performances. I say that as a fan of live performances. As a musician, clearly I can see it's value. Seems, since I chose not to make music my living, perhaps I have the luxury to look down on products like this.

As a performing musician, whose band members left the country one by one, this product is very handy, even though I dislike being stuck to the boundaries of a track. Roland used to have a MC-50 MKii, where one could at least program each part of a song, to your own taste, allowing one to put an original spin on a song. Also very handy where you have recorded a part, say keyboards, but don’t want to pay a keyboardist to play it live (we get paid bad enough as it is).

My old Roland BK-7 arranger module worked great for backing tracks....I could even have all my files in order of my setlist with some tracks playing real time midi arranging and then intersperse backing track files where needed

Evertune seems cool but I think it's too expensive and too complicated to make it into a mainstream consumer market. For reasons like this lol 😅 Will probably stay as more of a touring professional's piece of gear.

Turn the boost on with the channel 1 clean no crunch lower the gain to just open 7 o’clock turn master volume to 9-12 o’clock and guitar volume nob lower than half way❤❤❤

Otto ll ll is by far the best plugin imo! (You have it as auto audio 😉) once u mess with the rear panel knobs u get some crazy tones. Anyways then Clairvoyant Suite by Modern Metal SongWriter is my 2nd and Aurora Rhino is my 3rd. TSE50 and Nameless X are also amazing together thanks to Buster but I’m kind of over that tone. That Ampknob 666+ was my favorite out of all of these besides Otto and I need to check it out cuz I love the idea of not having to tweak and just play. Also just found your page after watching your Joyo pedal shootout cuz I’m wanting to grab the Rigel and saw u in Baritone Goats comment section and had to come check u out! I’ve watched 3-4 of your videos so far and u definitely have a new subscriber from me. Can’t believe u don’t have more subscribers but hope that’ll change in the next year for u. When I get time later I’ll check out some more of your stuff but I’m going to grab the Rigel since it’s on sale for the Amazon Prime deal sale today for $50. I used the have the Ceres (twice) and just lacked low end even with the bass maxed out and this pedal definitely doesn’t seem to lack of bass. Sorry for the long ass comment and I got carried away but awesome video !

I'm not familiar with some of the Sims you were mentioning though the Aurora Goblin is pretty sick as well. I've been very happy with just about all of the amp knows from Bogren they just make it so easy haha 😄 And bro $50 for the Rigel?! That's a killer deal on it! @@HighImpaktAudio my bad it’s $60 from $70 on Amazon but it sounds like it gets good for the money. I mostly use preamp pedals and have had most of the good ones and KSR is the best stuff by far! I have the KSR pa50 tube power amp and hands down blows the rest away! I’ve had just about them all too from the Freyette power station to all 3 of the powerstages. Definitely check out the lil Mooer preamp pedals if u haven’t already. I’ve had the 005(5150iii), 016(Engl Fireball), and then the Mooer preamp love cuz I wanted them all. They’re great lil pedals especially with the Mooer radar and headphones for a silent/travel rig

is it the noise gate that is gating off the sustain on clean channel 1? that makes no sense an amp would do that otherwise.

I own two in stereo never noticed it I use the boost instead of the crunch and channel 2 for anything else combined with guitar volume nob mostly below half

Pretty sure that the noise gate only works for channel #2.
