I am a brand new Mac user so naturally I tried FCP and fell in love with it. I still have a lot to learn but I am taking youtube seriously now (which is why I purchased a mac in the first place) so it probably won't take long for me to get very familiar with how FCP functions. But I did download Resolve since it's free and I will try that out too. I have no interest in Premier.

Agree, people are predicting doom and gloom with A.I taking jobs away, true the simple jobs on Fiver may be hit but even with the apps being used with A.I a user still needs to learn the app or software, come up with what they want and get the right results they need, not to mention the time and effort they need to get the job done, example when you need your grass cut a lot of people buy a lawn mower to cut there own grass, but the time and effort involved to some is not worth just paying someone to do it for you.

#24 I don't believe in luck rather I believe in serendipity Serendipity can involve mystery and intention, and can be an active process of connecting the dots and taking action. For example, serendipity can involve seeing opportunities that others don't, or reframing unexpected events as something positive.
@HeyAdamGrasso23 күн бұрын
Yeah, that's an excellent way to reframe things. I guess luck could be considered as something we think we can control, or rather, something that's an idealised version of our future hopes and desires. But Serendipity is more controllable and can always lead you somewhere in the ball park of where you wanted to go, but just not via the path you intitally thought you'd take to get there.

I like your passion . When you speak about the cursor on final cut it looks like you speak about your ex ! Personnaly i take care about workflow and understand . I think also it should be a good idéa . Also i want macro shortcut ! Like cubase Group for vidéo. Maybe there is but i have not seen ! Also it will be crazy to make several effect like magic mask or beauty retouch at the same same . Or transcribe audio to text . Maybe the optimisation of v19 don t needs that . After it not my level but create an association with unreal for 3d environnement. Ouch Have a good Day.

I've been using Listray for finding whatever file or folder on the PC, but I haven't really explored all it's functions, maybe it has similar functions to this Raycast one, maybe I'll try Raycast but what I love about Listray is that it Integrates into the little file/folder picker sub-windows that open up when you're, for example, setting a download directory or selecting a file to load into a Loader/fbxMesh node etc. That little integration also copies the last folder you had visited in file explorer in itself, so you don't have to copy folder addresses to it. If raycast has that I might switch over since it seems to have more functions
@HeyAdamGrassoАй бұрын
I haven't heard of Listray but I'll definitely check it out now 😊 I'm sure Raycast will have a way to set that up for you. Give it a try

I've seen another trim edit tutorial that was completely different. That's a good thing though. different ways to use it. It was more about shifting the clip within it's set endpoints (by click dragging on the clip while in that tool). Cut points stay the same place on the timeline but the clip itself is adjusted. Edit: well, not just that - you can move the end handles too, but it automatically closes the gap and moves the others to that point. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n66odrp5zc3NhIk.html

Great setup dude! Seems like the stands are a bit in the way when you try to access various parts of the room. Have you considered a Varipole. It's been mad beneficial for my setup.
@HeyAdamGrassoАй бұрын
Hey Michael 😊 The room is pretty wide so I wouldn't really trust a varipole with my Aputure 300x on it. In an ideal world I'd have my own studio were I could install a whole grid system in the ceiling. But seen as the apartment is rented I don't wanna be drilling big holds in the walls for my KZfaq studio. The landlord would asking for plenty of 💰if I did that 😂
@TheMichaelTechАй бұрын
@@HeyAdamGrasso I feel you… They are a lot stronger than you think though, I mounted a nanlight forza 200 with an aputure light dome and a 100x with a light done mini 2 in a room 12ft wide. But if you can mount the pole vertically if you don’t have a drop ceiling.
@HeyAdamGrassoАй бұрын
Ah nice. I used one a while ago and never felt they were super safe for heavier light. It was a Manfrotto autopole so maybe the varipol is stronger. 💪

Fixed Playhead isn’t at all the same thing as having a second Playhead that moves along with your mouse cursor. It’s a step in the right direction but you still have to click and hold to move the Playhead vs how much more intuitive the FCP style second Playhead is.

I know this is probably off topic, Do you think youre shadowbanned? I dont see anything wrong with the quality of your videos/ thumbnails/ titles and you got 7k subscribers and similiar stuff on short form content too. I know its probably a weird suggestion, by try posting a couple shorts on a new channel, preferably with a VPN on, its worth a shot imo But as always, great video :) I feel like doing things like these inspire us and definately enters into our subconscious mind and just makes us smarter and more creative in a way.
@HeyAdamGrassoАй бұрын
From what I understand, KZfaq doesn't shadowban, but it's still worth a try. My videos get impressions but not that many clicks (especially my more recent one). I think it's just that KZfaq is trying to figure out who my audience is and who they should serve up my videos to. So it'll just take a bit of time for the views to come rolling in. I don't mind the wait though. It'll be worth it :)
@kubermehtaАй бұрын
@@HeyAdamGrasso Totally upto you! Although shadow banning is a real thing afaik and has happened to a lot of big channels in the past. Although I would definitely still recommend uploading (or maybe reuploading) some shorts to a separate account to see if it gets more views and hey! If the people come in normally, it's perfect :)

Great tips Adam! Number 3 is actually one I slightly disagree with based on my experience. Many clients seem to assume that once you've established a rate, that's the baseline. So I don't know how likely it is that they'll pay you x% more for the "same deal/amount of effort", if you know what I mean. In my experience, it's better to adapt your promises to the client's budget. Once you're a more established creative, I find that if they have a low budget (or haven't told you want their budget is), it's better to state that your rate is x and then adjust the amount of 'features' you can offer based on their allowance. For example, if you're making an explainer video and they have a lower budget than your ideal rate, you'll offer a cheaper tier that still has high quality but might mean a shorter final edit or simpler grading job because you can't spend so much time on it. And if they can allocate more, you can add cool stuff like fancier motion graphics or voiceovers. Sometimes these tiers also inspire clients to look for a bigger budget because they're suddenly excited about adding those extras. The key is that each party has better expectations and there's no unnecessary sacrifice. But perhaps with day-based projects like music videos, this is harder to do - would love to hear your thoughts. Keep up the good work on the channel!
@HeyAdamGrassoАй бұрын
Hey Katia 😊 A good method I've used before is to just tell clients that I'm too busy with projects so I have to raise my rates to match up with what my other clients are paying me. Of course you might loose the client cause they genuinely can't afford you. But coming across as being 'in demand' is never a bad thing. And if you really don't wanna break your relationship with them, you can, like you said, offer to still collaborate with them with the less 'features' so it makes more sense for the lower rate they're paying you. Happy to discuss this more with you cause it's a super interesting subject and one that I feel a lot of freelancers struggle with.

Big HELL YEAH to the Shift+space for quick adding effects. PP and AE both have these. The PP one is on steroids too you have add macros to it to chain effects and add multiple effects to one clip with one click or shortcut. It almost makes me want to use PP (almost lol)
