LOL, I've been doing the same thing for years. I recently did a Star Wars processional and Shut Up and Dance as a recessional in a pretty traditional church wedding and probably no one but the bride (who was a past student of mine) knew that they weren't some obscure classical pieces. The church didn't want me to play because I wasn't baptised in their denomination, but the bride said I was the only one she knew who could do the music the way she wanted and since she teaches music, it was extremely important to her.
