I have 11 acres in the Sonoran desert, 20 miles south of downtown Phoenix and for eleven years I've been trying to build a wildlife habitat. Ground squirrels are my mortal enemy. How can I get you to help me build owl habitat??? Please, I'm SERIOUS.

I was on a website today that had links and volunteer signup. I emailed them myself as I have 1.3 acres in Laveen. Hoping we both can establish a habitat for them ! Edit: they mention it in the video, Wild at Heart

I was sort of hoping to see what the burrow looked like inside for owls. Also the lady and the guy spending entirely too long to hammer in that stake is peak hilarity...at first I thought they were faking it for the footage, but no...they were legitimately trying to hammer that thing into the ground....get a bigger hammer please.

the owls are adaptable but if they don't dig their own burrows, then it seems like saving them is the 2nd priority. The first priority is to save the animals that are burrowing so that more burrows can be made for more owl populations. But I guess burrowing animals or rodents are not as cute as the owls.

Just moved to retired to Oregon had 4 beautiful kitties now two.My rags dolls have their own sun room why we bought the house but they just want to explore. After a year I decided to build a catio just finished it yesterday.Need to a little interior designing and cat door. I believe cat should roam but safely. Our backyard view is a field of farm cows with many many birds and know I would never see them again. I simple took ideas from other youtube and started building I did drag my husband in for help I believe it is wonderfully built but that’s me nothing perfect the kitties can’t measure. They are going to love it. I hope more people take the time to build, all I see on next door app is lost our cat. Thank you for sharing.

Catios are a great idea. Next step is to ban outdoor cat feeding and dumping of cats outside (TNR). It's a shame Portland Audubon is rolling over on this.

Oh my goodness! I am trying to figure out what to do with a couple of burrowing owls that are in my back yard, nearly every day. I'm in a subdivision in Goodyear, but I back up to farmland. I walk behind my house for exersize, and the owls had their little homes in the some old gopher holes. However, I have watched the farmers kill their babies when they water the farmland, probable for the past 2 years, because they throw the tubing from the canal over their little homes, and the babies drown. It crushes their houses. I saw the babies several times, but woke up to see the holes demolished by the tubes, and their homes completely flooded. Broke my heart. The parents left, and now they're back, but in my yard. I have pictures of one eating a gopher in my yard yesterday. What do I do?? I was thinking of building a nest in my back yard, but I won't be here forever. Please someone email me and give me instuction on what to do. I just went outside and they were in my birdbath. My email is [email protected]. Thank you so much!!!
