That was an amazingly amusing flight! 😂 Any idea why it did a loop? Cg too far back with that motor?

I lost track of it in the clouds but some nice person found it and brought it to lost and found the next morning!

How did you wire the continuity light? I'm trying to figure that out without igniting it right away. I'm using a 12v battery.
@rocketrynerd4 ай бұрын
You need a current limiting resistor on the continuity loop of the circuit

@@rocketrynerd I can't wait myself! Started with low power back in 1990 at age 7, took a 10 year break. Came back in May with an Alpha III kit and some A motors from Hobby Lobby. Then I ordered parts from Rocketryworks for a scratch built L1, and got an old collection back that I ended up using a 29mm Mercury Engineering Integrator on a H135W-14A with RocketeyWorks upgrades. Went last weekend to URRG in NY and got my L1! I'm beyond happy! Very cool, nice! You going to LDRS there in NY next June!? Just curious not sure some travel from afar for that..
@rocketrynerd8 ай бұрын
Yes I’ll be making the 16hr drive to LDRS/NY in 2024! Already planning for it!
@michaelbozung17948 ай бұрын
@@rocketrynerd Very cool! They have a great field if you've never been there before, its definitely worth the drive. I have friends that live an hour away or so but I might get a motel in NY. They have a campground too not far from URRG that most use. I live in PA, I have a 6 hour round trip but its my home club for high power. Last weekend they had 50 some successful L1 certs, four L2, and one L3 out out probably twice that attempting it was wild. But they hit 17,000 and change recently with a recovery. The 18,000 foot waiver is amazing!!! Maybe I'll see you there, I'm planning on going in April or May for my L2 cert attempt with even maybe it at LDRS but would rather have it a little less busy for a cert flight. But who knows, have fun and take care! I have a couple good videos on my channel from this year! Fly high 🚀. Michael B.
