blues is about conveyance of emotion, which is the art of this idiom. if you think the apparant simplicity of this style is within yr musical capabilities, by all means pursue this goal... say for the next 30 years, and maybe you can play as well as sue foley. the probability however, is not in yr favor. she's been on fire for at least 3 decades that we know about. but don't call 911, she's just a force of nature, like a pint-sized volcano, and quite a stylist in her own right. i am not a particularly big fan of the color pink, at least the synthetic shades humans have contrived (but flamingos work for me...), but her pink paisely telecaster is beauty incarnate, enuf said...if she were a british citizen, they would have bestowed an O.B.E. or some such upon her by now, ie. she is a natural- born national cultural treasure, and imho...the u.s. government should recognize the stalwart advantages of having her be a citizen of this country!
