What an incredible list! Not your typical BookTube recommendation list but it is definitely getting written down on my end. Also, I once traced the WWJD movement of the late 90s in the U.S. as far back as possible and the farthest back I could go was Kempis and then possibly Augustine of Hippo. One more thing, you are exactly right about language, there are some sounds in other languages that we cannot make because of how our language guided and shaped our vocal development. Great vid.

I absolutely had the taking-myself-too-seriously early 20s phenomenon! I would only read what is considered "literature" and pretend I got it. Well, some I did; I'm looking at you Camus. Same with movies. I only wanted to watch deep, often dreary movies. Finally I found the appreciation in hokey B-movies and that led me down the trail to B-books and I'm finally in a world that I get. haha!

About 5 years before I retired at work we started making boxes for Amazon. And every order was no less than 100,000. Most were 250,000. I know that by the end of the week it would total way over 3 million or more. And the small 10 inch or less boxes were pure hell.

Yeah if I made edits I would of cut that part, but I meant it. Wizard : All right, look. Look at it this way. You know, a man takes a job, you know? And that job - I mean, like that - you know, that becomes what he is. You know, like - you do a thing and that's what you are. I mean like I've been a cabbie for 17 years. Ten years at night. I still don't own my own cab. You know why? Because I don't want to. That must be what I want. You know, to be on the night shift drivin' somebody else's cab. You understand? I mean, you become - you get a job, you become the job. " - Taxi Driver As a young man I worked in a liquor store. I served a few final shots. I didn't kill those people but I certainly played a part, with a smile. All of this pot calling the kettle black obviously because.... its a video showcasing my Amazon purchases. I love collecting the books aswell as reading them too. It can Definitely be hard to find the stuff if you don't know where to look. When I started few years ago, I had to dig deep to find authors and books but now I feel like I almost know them all even though I still find new authors/pen names everyday.
