How events can escalate could be the moral of this story. However, along the way of the storyline there was a great cast, and their performance was worth the price of the ticket to view. I am not necessarily a fan of Mickey Rooney, but good acting does need to be recognize.

Fantastic movie! so well written, funny & exciting. Usually I know how plot will unfold, but this one was full of surprises. Unlike current movies that are so predictable.

I think Loretta Young was in every scene in this movie. It must have been exhausting, especially the way she had to show fear/terror most of the way. Billy wouldda been better with a mouthful of cookies. TY!

They are worried about safety and all kinds of random people are wandering around the place with doors left open and whatnot. LOL. Soulds like Mar a Lago under Trump.

really true….. the manipulation , gaslighting are the traits of narcissistic personality disorder. relationship with a Narcissist man is like that you feel the Hell on Earth. Even you doubt on yourself that may that’s your mistake or you did something wrong with him.but the reality is opposite because with this gaslighting trick He blames on you whatever mishap doing with you or him. i felt that experience in which i start blame on myself.

Unappreciated as such "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" are quite sophisticated in their very early years, beginning in 1952. In one scene of O&H the audio from the tv in their living room is playing the cottage scene from this film where the Lady of the House is showing Sim the Cottage and talking about the hole in the wall where her husband almost blew himself up. One had to be familiar with the film to recognize the dialogue from that scene. which seemed to be incidental to the Ozzie, etc., scene, but a wonderful conceit and homage to the film and it's classy audience.

It took 45 years for me to " escape" Thing is, you think it's normal at first until you realise you've lost your friends, you barely see your family, your conversations are finished for you.... I truly feel for those of you still trapped, this film should be shown frequently on TV as a health warning, you don't see the signs until it's too late 😢

I heard of the gaslight effect for years. I considered to be a dirty trick of the motivational coach industry and half the therapy industry. I also saw it as a tool of the mega corporations. I heard recently that the name came from this movie. I decided to watch.
