Just FYI…. The tips are not flimsy at the cuticle edge, that’s how all full coverage tips should be and are made. It’s because the nail shouldn’t be bulky at the cuticle, it should be “thin” so that it looks like it is growing out just like your natural nail otherwise, it looks just like a press-on nail and no one wants that look. It should be sturdy and strong from the apex down to the tip, as you said it was, so the nail was made properly. 👍🏾 Ps….I’m just pointing this out because there are people who watch these KZfaq videos to learn and when you say something is “flimsy”, you leave the impression that the product is not made properly and that’s not fair to the company, or the person watching your video who is tuning in to learn about a product and making a decision on whether or not to purchase it. So, I’m not trying to be rude, I just want to make sure people who may be new to the DIY nail process, have accurate information. Btw….your mani turned out beautifully! 😉

When you did the white edging, what did you do to make the pigment stick to just the white and nothing else?

Thought I'd help with your question! 🤗 She applied non-wipe top coat over the whole nail prior to applying the French lines. No wipe top coat doesn’t have the tacky layer, which is why it’s called “no wipe”. The white polish she used for the French lines has a tacky residue layer, which is called an “inhibition layer”, which gel polishes have. Therefore, when she applied the French lines, the pigment colors attached to the tacky residue layer, or inhibition layer and did NOT stick to the No Wipe top coat, which again does not have an inhibition layer, or otherwise known as a tacky residue layer. Hopefully, that makes sense and I haven’t managed to confuse you more! 😂😂😂 Good luck! 😉

I commented before I watched the video..mine is a gel kit so you make the nail with a tip and then pop the tips off and file the gel nail. It just doesn't work well imo

Next time use topcoat underneath the tips of the nail before doing the design that will make it clear after cleaning aswell 😊😊

IKR! 😶🌫️….😂😂😂 As soon as she said she was going to wipe them with alcohol, I was like….ABORT! ABORT! 🤦🏾♀️ I was like, just add No wipe top coat to the bottom of your nails! It will solve both your problems…. 1. Get rid of the #’s. 2. Make them glasslike. 🤷🏽♀️
