I've been running it for a month now with veyr little issues. We plan on cutting over from our current production box v16 in a few months. I see you are on RC1 now. Is there anything we need to do or is the current install of 17 getting upgrades and then just run apt-get upgrade to get the latest push to RC1?

I’d love to see a bit of a modernized UI For FreePBX as the current one is quite dated, and there aren’t too many obvious changes on version 17 for me to upgrade.

Greetings, we are having trouble with the LLDP on the P- Series. We have a cisco switch with 2 vlans , Vlan 5 for Data ( for PC port ) and Vlan 10 for Voice. Previously with a simple config ( switchport access vlan 5, switchport voice vlan 10 ) the Cisco phone was getting assigned an IP from the VLAN 10 correctly. With the P-Series its getting assigned to the DATA vlan and not the Voice VLAN. LLDP-MED. The problem is solved if i manually configure the P325 Phone to get the correct VLAN ID but it doesnt seem productive to manually do this on 300+ Phones. How can I solve this ?

Thank you Joshua ! I’m a bit shocked and disappointed to hear that FreePBX is moving to Rocky Linux 8, which is basically CENTOS 8. That is a 3 year old distribution that’ll be 3 1/2 years old by the time a RL8 based FreePBX Distro 8 ships. That is incredibly sad and just a waste of time, since 9 is already out this version could just have been skipped and a lot of work saved. With the FreePBX team being as understaffed as it is, any duplication of work is just so sad to watch.

Everything was easy until about the 10 minute mark. Did I mention there are a LOT of messages just like you said in the video! Is there documentation for this interface and where can I find it? <<<< Ignore this section unless you are curious as to my inability to type. I always get an error "Extension does not exist". After reviewing a lot of other incoming messages as extension 150 was dialed from other extensionss, I have tried "pjsip/150", "PJSIP/150", "chan_pjsip/150" and a lot of other combinations. A lot of the messages show a channel "PJSIP/150-0000004C" although it looks like the "-" is followed by a 4 byte hexadecimal sequence number which changes with each call and seems consitent in the messages during a call. If I add an "exten":"150" it does seem to time out and then I get and "Originate Failed" error. My Bad!!! I had "extend":"*43". Doh! >>>>
