We have a Viking 17BH and we love it but it's been all sorts of insignificant issues due to poor craftsmanship too. The trick is to keep on top of all the little things before they get worse, just like you mentioned in the video! If you pay attention to detail and sort things out right away, it doesn't get out of hand. Loved hearing your list! We try to learn from everyone's experience and look out for all the details you might overlook! Thanks to both of you x

We have a 2019 2104s that we bought brand new in 2018. We have over 6000 miles on it. Very very few issues with it. The only warranty items we had were the toilet, Dometic had a batch were they would hold liquids and after a while they stunk. I was able to swap that once the dealer got us a new one and the letters on the very front started peeling and again the dealer shipped up new ones I have yet to put them on. There was a small piece of door trim to the bathroom that came unstapled but I have an 18ga pneumatic stapler and fixed that super easy. I've done a couple modifications to it, added a dimmer over the dinette, added USB outlets on my side of the bed, I added a counter extension similar to yours but ours never came with one so I had to work with the Rockwood parts dept and local dealership to find one that would match. You can make the windows open a little more by cutting some plastic bits. Oh the latest thing besides maintenance was I had to replace the front vent cover as ours cracked but I never found evidence of it leaking. We used to camp in this secluded area down a 2 mile gravel road and the windshield did get a chip but after I installed mud flaps on my truck and havent had any issues since. We love our Rockwood. We started out with the cheapest thing we could find because we didnt know what we wanted. We found a 2104s after a few years and then when we decided to buy one we couldnt find one. a few years of calling around and waiting we ended up driving 250 miles out of state to get one. We'd do it all over again. Rockwood makes a quality product.

Thank you for making a great video! I have just purchased the 4-16x44 scope from Vortex, still got to get the mount and plan to either put it on my AR15 Grendel or AR10 308. What rifle are you using? Looks great! Still got to get into bolt action rifles

Great video!! I made a winterization video for my old 2509s (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ec53pL2E0p6vdZc.html) but never got around to creating a de-winterizing video. No need to after watching yours! We actually bought a 2020 2509s after our old one got damaged so this video is perfect for me!

2017 1500 bighorn with the 3.92 rear axle. It handles amazing with this truck. I did have to install helper airbags because it squated just a little too much on the stock suspension, but now it's perfectly leveled while towing.

You have highlighted a number of issues that show how cheap and shoddy construction can be expensive and why RV warranties need to be better.
@BassinNmore
@BassinNmore 3 ай бұрын
I was actually showing that all the issues are small. There are other brands out there that have walls that collapse on them. Compared to those brands I am very happty to only have small issue like I have had. You have to remember that these are houses that are constantly being pulled down the road and gping over bumps. Nothing will be perfect under those conditions. Thank you for watching.

Great video! My wife and I are also avid cyclists and hunters. One question I have is, does this bike have a walk mode? We hunt private farmland that is hilly and one section of road gets very muddy and it's uphill. We don't want to tear up the road at all spinning through the mud so we would have to get off the bike and walk it through that section- about 150 yards. I've seen a lot of e-bikes claim they have a walk mode but it is so fast it is more like a jog mode. If that is the case, I think the bike would still be spinning as we walk beside it. Look forward to your response. Thank you.

Hello, I have the same model. I can’t get the antifreeze to suck in. I’m thinking either a clog filter or water pump. Is it possible to use an external pump to get the antifreeze in?
@BassinNmore
@BassinNmore 8 ай бұрын
I have had that before. There is most likely some air in the lines. Turn the pump on with the antifreeze hooked up then go around and one at a time open every hot and cold water, including inside and outside shower, toilet, and water hose to bleed out the air. Once the air is out, it should start pulling antifreeze through just fine.

To prevent any damage to your slide (which we had problems with on our 2509S and since we fixed) you should never open your slide half way. if you have this type of slide you need to open it up all the way and close it all the way, never half way, and never ever step on it while in, since it will knock it off the tracks. This was told to us by both the dealer and Forest River. If you need to use the toilet while traveling you need to open the slide all the way through

Thanks for this! Good info, and important to know if anyone buys one! Might seem simple to you and others, but it can save your bum! Had anyone told me that on my Airstream 23FB that if I saw condensation on the windows, I would have floor issues from water damage I would have saved $26,000. (The cost of repairs.) Airstreams are great, almost airtight, seldom leak, bla bla bla. I just assumed that of course Airstreams would have channels or tubes ro route window condensation down and out, nope! We humans cook, shower breathe and that makes moisture that collects on the windows when it’s cold. I had no clue until my foot went through the floor by the bedroom, and was told the entire floor needed to be replaced. Had I KNOWN, I could have prevented that!

Great video. I have the same Rockwood model and year. So I love watching these. I watch your Winterize video every year before we put it away. I just swapped my pump out and it works great. But there are a few drips that come out under pressure every few hours. I'm not sure where the leak is from. It seems to drip from where the city water connects to the pipe coming out of the pump. At the end of your video you mention you have a "little leakey line", did you fix that? How? Thanks for the great videos.

Don’t let your steps slam shut. They will jump past the side frames. This results in you hoping you have enough tools in an external compartment to fix this. Loosen one or both side catches on the steps. Replace and align them to catch the side frames. Just takes a gentle touch to keep this from happening.

We have had our 2023 2509S for almost three months. Agree with your comments on excellent design and build quality. Rockwood has addressed many of your issues on the 2023 models with tweaks. I would expect that. One aspect that is not so good is the TV/entertainment system. to accommodate the Go Power solar charge controller, they picked a TV with everything built into it. Works o.k. Have had better in my previous trailer. Showstopper happened due to plugging in our essential (to us) Apple TV. Both HDMI ports are poor quality and/or poorly installed. Have to wiggle the connections on both ports and hope it hooks up. That is unacceptable so I sourced what I believe is a higher quality TV with a built in DVD player. Also got a portable Bluetooth soundbar. Still installing, so hope it will be an improvement. Also ordered a mattress upgrade. the factory mattress is comfortable enough, but it makes noise when we move like plastic crinkling. Yes, I removed the plastic wrap. Both upgrades are not unreasonable and will only make a great trailer even better. All in all the 2509S is a terrific trailer and your video was excellent. Thanks!

I know this is awhile since you made the video, but it is still very helpful! I have done my own winterizing for several years now and am about to do our new 2509S. Watching you do yours was great. The only difference is Rockwood no longer includes a canister water filter. Instead, they give you an in-line filter with the trailer. No problem, as I was using them on our old trailer. Thanks so much!
