The part when Mark realizes that his lawyer has a dark past and he feels betrayed in a way, because his father left him and his brother for the same addictions... His expression is too real, what a natural acting! He was a kid and still he had already the enormous talent to be in the same level of the other much older actors.

What is most tragic is the story about the death of the young actor who played Mark Sway. His life and circumstances of his death are incredibly sad. And he was a newcomer, no training, beat out hundreds of other actors = did an amazing job in the role. He was raised by his grandma and lived in a trailer park when he got this role. So sad that he ended up going down the wrong road, without a dad and using drugs. Child actors never seem to get the protection and supervision they need ;-(

My father was watching this movie a couple of years ago. I wasn't paying attention to it. He asked me to come by and watch the movie with him, so I did. He then said, who is that kid? He's playing his roll so uncredebly well?! I didn't know the movie, I didn't know the kid, but continued watching with him. I'd have to agree, the kid was playing his roll superbly well. I checked the movie as well as him out and it turned out he died at young age. It made me feel sad, I would have loved to see this kid becoming a superstar, if it wasn't for my father ( and my father rarely gives compliments like that ) I would have never heard about him at all.

I just realized how much, Mark was pain in the ass to Reggie. After all the things she did, trying to Mark and his family. He give her attitude and put her in danger as well as his family, in real life she would be glad that she doesn’t see him anymore.

Mark was just an 11 year old child who also had a very rough upbringing with an abusive drunken father and was desperate to find the mysterious body so him and his family can finally put an end to everything that was happening to them. He gave Reggie a break and started trusting her once she opens up and allows him to understand her as well. In order to gain trust you gotta communicate. Reggie missed her children to and I think that’s why she desperately wanted to help Mark to make up what she lost with her own kids. To fill a void. Plus she didn’t wanna fail Mark like everyone else did. She wanted to help him find the good in people again too.
