i am a black woman who converted to hinduism two years ago and sometimes people i come across don’t take me seriously because of my racial background. it is a lonely path; the one of moksha. however, i came across turiya’s music while on a jazz binge and realized she was singing hindu mantras… realized she was also a black woman from america… and it made me smile. i’ve devoted all day to researching her background and it led me here. may her spirit go on forever. can you recommend any non-biased documentaries on the establishment of Israel? Everything I find are made by Jews and are pro-Israel. I am looking forward to part 3.

It was lovely to come across this yesterday. Like you describe, the radiant Alice also touched my soul. I never met her though. It is beautiful to hear from her daughter. So interesting to hear about how disciplined she was all the time. I heard it yesterday but looking forward to enjoying all the photos of Alice and Michelle, radiant in colors of oranges roses and peaches. thank you so much for this gift.

This is a sweet loving interview. Thank you Michelle for sharing your childhood, your mother, and your musical/meditational service to the Lord. It was endearing to me, because of the way I tried to raise my daughter to the best of my ability in a spiritual modus operandi, meaning out of the forum of Sunday church going once a week and then it's finished til the next week. Nope. Ours was sunrise (actually pre-dawn) to sunrise the next day, including no shoes indoors, spiritual food offered to Lord Kṛṣṇa, singing, dancing and keeping the social connections as clean as practical to do so. I admire the love attitude, the respect and the acceptance of obedience to your mother, as a happy enough kid will be prone to do. It's encouraging, as this age is not conducive to the easy natural flow of higher consciousness!!!!! And yes, a real Spiritual master or spiritual mother knows that success is all there for a steady practicing servant. (One doesn't get traffic tickets when the rules of the road are abided in..... such rules originally being for safety.) So spiritual life is not willy-nilly ! Thanks again and again. Let's keep the offenseless Holy Name kirtans rolling on.

I’d love to get hold of one of her books🙏 Also “Portrait…” They’re not available anymore on Amazon. Seekers today really need inspiration. Even in my case after fifty plus years of meditative practices-I benefit so much from Swamini’s example. The spiritual path is not a cake walk. Having examples of other’s that have made the journey is priceless. Thanks for helping to document this precious life story-and thank you dear Michele. Jai Maa!

So because we've disconnected consciously from the greater divine source, we seek the feeling of love from others, when in fact, love comes from within, and to experience love is to give love selflessly.

Very surprised she's relying so heavily on DNA for her research. I don't understand how someone in one breath acknowledges the evils of the colonizers then trust their science to trace ancestry. Medicine, diet, history and science has been weaponized against our people.

So glad I just "stumbled" across this interview ! I am wondering if there might be a way to contact you ( other then public forum?) It is quite possible our paths may have crossed...either through Sai Anantam Ashram way back when...or Amma's ashram (or both). So much beauty to be said about both.. but best in another format if possible. In any case, thank you so much for this delightful interview ! Blessings !

How do we explain so many in ICU's. I recently lost a family member to covid. I have another family member of age, that is asymptomatic right now. I honestly believe my almost centenarian grandmother and I have already had covid. I almost had to call 911 for myself due to breathing issues. I kept us hydrated with lemon and soups with almost an entire bulb of garlic, along with onion. I haven't been that sick since childhood.

Go to my Facebook page. I have posted them all there. As for ICU, I have never claimed that the virus is not real. In fact, I have documented where and how it was created in my previous videos. However, based on my research, those who have gotten very sick and died were those who had depleted immune systems, pre-existing conditions and vitamin D deficiencies.

It was mentioned that we need our women to present a United front with us to preserve our manhood e.g.: When we go out on dates our women should give us the money so we can pay. It’s a nice sentiment but it’s better to agree as a couple that he will save a bit of money and take you out to dinner when it’s a special occasion. We can’t afford to make Outback Steak house rich anymore. We can humbly eat at home and build a positive abundance mindset and energy together. If you make $90,000 to $120,000 a year I will be happy for your blessing but you can take me to dinner for my birthday but I’d rather you cook with me at home.

@Kittie Katz hypergamy does not work for men. Women do not want to be the providers for their households or men. Also, spamming the comments like you did is not conducive to anything. Walls of text need to be broken up into paragraphs otherwise you’re just ranting mindlessly assuming your words are correct.

Around 1:32:00 a black man comes on with the same old philosophy (“ Ain’t Nobody Gon do Nothin For Us”) is not a strategy. ADOS has a strategy. In NJ, there was a little girl who fell into a pool, the mom jumped in to try to save her and grandpa jumped in to try to say the 2. All 3 drowned to death. Learn to swim. Black Americans can’t liberate black ppl all around the world. We can’t even keep 60,000 black men from sleeping on the streets of skid row. Focus and get serious. I was born into a black nationalist organization. I have heard talking points since the 70s. We are not dealing with the American reality. Antonio Moore, Yvette Carnell and Tommy Curry are giving us exact ideals to fight for. That old rhetoric is dead and it leads to nowhere. I argue my communist brother about this all the time. We can’t swim in America. We better learn to swim or we will continue to drown ( because we are drowning)
