I like this. My wife and I play but we don't order singles. So we build from packs mainly. Shows it can be done for casual play

I bought 2 trainer boxes to make decks before I learned that this wasn’t the way to build a deck, but it doesn’t really make a difference as far as enjoyment goes as long as both players are just working with a trainer box, right? I’ve got the Classic Box coming in the mail, but something about playing with cards that aren’t even officially allowed outside of that specific game seems off putting to me. Also, why does Grant keep passing instead of attacking?

ChannelFireball is such a good vendor website. And if anyone remembers who first created the MTG team, Team ChannelFireball, then our boys must do a 1000 pack opening in a super long video or on stream. Spam & boost #1kPackMaxxer & #ScarletVioletETB in the comments, and comment whichever ScarletViolet Set(s) members of the fam want to see. The most number of likes for the ScarletViolet sets you guys commented that you want these boys to open will be those 1000 packs that they open. And the packs can only come from ETBs bc then the pulls are a gamba: either it's gonna be wasted or busted bc of how ETB pull rates are vs. booster boxes.

Ho-oh is and Xerneas are powerful. But they take a lot of time and coin flips (for rebirth) to get going. Lugia is great and consistent but heavy cost.

This is exactly how I have always built my decks, only last year did I start ordering singles. It honestly feels kind of soulless to do something like that but I understand it's a money saver in the long run. Still, nothing gets me and my boys more excited for pokemon than cracking open booster packs and building decks from scratch from 1-2 expansions.

i've been doing this format in magic with friends for a while. Share a booster box, each gets 9 boosters. Build a deck from that and ONLY from that. When the next set releases, we do the same, but add the cards to our card pool and use that to build our next decks. So with each set our card pool gets bigger, but we still can only use cards from these boosters, no online shopping, no meta chasing, the size of your wallet doesn't matter. Its been the most fun i've had with magic since i started playing in 1997

I can’t see what your pulls are I just hear Yoooooo! But the cards are so far from the camera I can’t read them. So announce your pulls.

watching this video as some kind of research. My Girlfriend likes to collect the cards and i always complained about how much money she spends for the cards to just sit in endless boxes. Our compromise is that we learn to play and put the cards to use (of course i am not allowed to touch the really valueable cards). We wont llay super competetive, just for some giggles and i had no ideo where to start building a deck. This was a fun watch for someone who never had a big interesst for pokemon, even thoug i barely understand much of it :)

I love this. I had the same idea about getting a box and making a deck with what you pulled. Also this helps me try to relearn how to play again. Great video guys.

Should do a “Progression series” type of thing. Each person opens a booster box worth the latest set and builds a deck. Decks get better and better each set you open adding to and upgrading your decks.
