That was their best chance to win a Super Bowl. They were miles ahead better of the Bills, but the Giants had a better game plan and they converted all those 3rd downs in the last drive of the second quarter and first drive of the third quarter. Holding onto the ball for 40 plus minutes is what won the Giants the game. Too bad they didn't have Steve Christie who was with the Bucs earlier and wouldn''t get him until 1992. THIS was their only chance because the Redskins and the Cowboys were vastly superior teams they played in the last 3 super Bowls.

You could really tell this was the last gasp for the Bills to go and win the Super Bowl. Everyone knew that if they didn't win that it was it for the Bills. I mean they did have that 13-6 lead going into the first drive of the third quarter. Then Thurman blew it by fumbling and Dallas's James Washington picked the ball up and ran it back for 6. Then the drive after going 3 and out and the Cowboys just pounding the ball with Emmitt for that touchdown to go up 7 really ended for the Bills. The interception on the first play of the 4th quarter and then the 4th down pitch to Emmitt for the touchdown to go up 14 ended all hopes. Those 3 drives really sucked all the life of the Bills and the team hasn't been back since.

In Week 16 Cincinnati squeaked out a win against Washington when the Redskins missed a FG on the game's last play of the game (the Bengals went on to win in OT 20-17). If the Bengals had lost that game the Bills would have had the best record in the AFC and hosted the AFC Championship game

Ronnie Harmon (13:50) would drop a sure TD in a playoff game against the Browns in the 1989 season. The Bills had mounted a huge comeback in this game and the drop came on the 2nd from the last play in that game. Harmon was released after that season.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Bills gotta wear these uniforms at least as an alternative against the Chiefs. They'll beat them. Buffalo would go nuts with the re-emergence of the 90's uniforms!!

It seems like half the starters where HOF bound! Now we only have Josh Allen bound for the HOF on the current team… maybe Diggs if he stays… and that’s it. What a team we had in the 90’s, but they are pretty good now too.

They really did a tremendous job with these videos. I remember watching these early 90 videos over and over again. We couldn’t win the big one, but man were these years fun. What a team.

At 19:48 they said that it was the Bills first postseason victory in 23 years. But that is wrong! The Bills beat the Jets in the Wild Card round in 1981, so it was the Bills first postseason win in seven years.

The Bills of the late 80s and early 90s were so fun to watch. I know they didnt win a Super Bowl but 4 straight Super Bowls is a feat no team will ever do.

As a life long bills fan it's still hard to swallow the fact that those 90s bills didn't win atleast 1 . I do believe if we had a bye before the superbowl like it is now we would've won 2 of those.

When you look back 1988 was the turning point of the NFL into "modern-day football". There was more additions to team access, there was more media coverage because the expansion of cable tv, ESPN, HBO Sports became stalwarts of coverage, dynamic NFL Films cameras and angles, clear audio sounds on the field and sidelines. It felt like the NFL went "Hollywood"... But... ...it also felt like the beginning of scripted games, it felt like vegas dictated the outcomes of soo many games (including the Super Bowl) especially the superbowl... Player using PEDs...I can almost bet anything the 88' year in the NFL there were stories we never heard about with players losing contracts, going bankrupt, being hospitized for mental illness, attemped suicides, and domestic violence. I'm not saying these things did not exist before the 1988 season, but I believe it was the gateway to future egregious actions by the NFL and its players. As spectacular as the 1988 year was in pro football, it was probably the biggest catalyst and the most damning year in what we call modern day football. But we're still watching and endorsing this sport every year, because its hard to hate the thing that makes us feel good...even if its for a couple days out of the week. Football will never be the same... ...but then again...did it ever really change...?

I watched all 4 of these Super Bowl loses, from 10 year old kid till now, I had hope for past couple years but these Bills today suck in all weather except sunshine, any rain or snow we suck… so many frustrating decisions with this team year after year…. Kelly had a very slow release

Mark Kelso was such a weak link on this defense, on top of Buffalo just seems to fold when it matters most regardless of what year it is. With Josh Allen they are still folding under pressure. It sucks being a fan of these clowns 🤡 💯

"Most Definitely"-My two least favorite Dolphins ever. Louis Oliver even made Christmas T-Shirts that year read "Deck the Hell out of the Bills and we'll all be Jolly"-Fa-la-la-la-la-----la-la-la-la. The 29-10 Domination on the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Championship Game in Miami for the right to go to the Superbowl was well deserved "Egg on their faces" lol.

I was there with my son and father in law, and from our angle it looked good. What a heartbreaker. I still want to get to another one with my son. He's a grown man now and I'm a senior citizen. When we got back to the hotel room after the game, my wife said "Hurry!", I didn't know what was up, but my 1 year old daughter took her first step and I was there to see it, si I won anyway. I'll never forget that and the game seemed a lot less important.
