Awesome, believe me. You'll be very greatful that you have them when you have a problem. The one thing that I forgot to add in the vid is that it comes with a few extra connections tips. Such as young a rugby ball or bicycle tyres.

Only in the new MAX'S versions, I didn't find anything on the 2022 versions of the T4, T7 or T8. Only saw it in it the Omoda C5 and MAX versions as they have almost the same system.

What to do if its shows sign saying gearbox failure?

Switch the car off and leave it for a few min. Then start it, if it still says it, try to get to a dealer nearby. If it won't drive, call Chery road side assistance to collect the vehicle and have it taken to a dealership to get it looked at and resolved. From what I've seen, sometimes the fluid in the gearbox could be a little low to something like a connector coming loose. On an extreme case, it could be the gearbox itself.

Hi Bald Chery. I bought a new Chery Pro 4 Automatic Turbo 1.5. In Jan 2024. Since then been experiencing a " limbo" cvt gearbox, where the gearbox goes into limbo mode, stuck in first gear only. It happens intermittently only and seems it only happens when the vehicle gets warm. Not sure if it is a software issue or gearbox issue. Been in for repairs and fault finding for weeks at end with Chery Menlyn in Pretoria, with no success on resolving the issue. Cherry Headoffice Sa also are not very helpful in assisting to negotiate for a new replacement Chery, and make it my problem to get sorted from the bought dealers. Without any success on negotiations further testing needs to be do by my bought dealer now. Apparently no fault finding reports can be found on any Dino testing. Once the vehicle stands for a while a couple of hours the issue fixes itself and drives as normal again. Any suggestions on what this issue can be for resolving the issue. or how to proceed to claim a new replacement vehicle under the protection consumer Act with the bought dealership or Chery SA. The vehicle is only 5 month old and just exceeded it 5000 km. Your assistance or advise will be appreciated. Siegie 072 243 4488

Remember to have you 5000km/6month service. A few things... Pls make sure the car is properly heated up and it says "heating completed" Have you had the new update installed on your car? It helps and adjusts the gearbox? Might help with the CVT. Just a question.... you drive in full auto or in manual aswell? You drive in SPORTS or ECO and which fuel do you use?

Not on the T4 or the T7 ( 2022 models ) can only be switched off on the new T7 & T8 MAX'S, and I'm still to test the new T4 DCT.

You can, you just need to make sure the "VIDEO LIMIT" is switched off in the media settings.

Sad to say, there is no 'video limit' or 'video restrictions' colum in the display setting as yours. Maybe have to update the player..not sure..just only have 'screen switch'. But the screen turn black if i click 'screen switch'...

I have to be honest, pulling out a screw or a pin and forcing the plug-in, is not easy. You need some strength to push it in, so I wasn't being a sexist or anything like that. Just some women won't have the strength that's all I meant.

Im planning on getting the urban Im coming from a 3l d4d hilux Now Im okay with a bit less power But is it so that you can easily stall it when pulling away Or is strong enough to have it pull away smoothly?

Provided you have clutch control, it won't stall. It's still got enough power to pull away smoothly for an N/A. However, unlike a Diesel, it doesn't have lots of torque to use that to pull away.

I've had my 2024 T4pro Elite cvt for 5 days now and driving only on eco mode, the consumption is currently 8.8km per litre 😭 Ok so it was a demo and people have probably floored it for most of its 4000km life but I really hope it will improve when I take it in for it's first service. Besides the consumption it's an amazing vehicle and I couldn't be happier.

Try to stay in SPORTS MODE, especially when in town traffic. And don't need to press the accelerator to hard, press it to 2000rpm and feather the pedal. It'll give you good fuel consumption and remember the CVT it driven differently compared to a manual or normal auto. The CVT is designed to be economical so you can keep the engine at low rpm and the CVT will use the torque of the engine and turbo. Only time you need high rpm is if you press the pedal to accelerate quickly. I hope you watched the vid on "tips and tricks" for better consumption. Just verify with the dealer that it has had the software updated aswell. Once you get used to the way it drives, you can easily get 13 to 14km/l. I do 200km a day, so I've learnt all the ways to get the best out of the car. I'm already at 103 000 km in just over 2yrs.

I love this car, I call my charcoal grey T4pro Elite Buks 😁 but for the voice command (My "AI" car assistant, I named her Cortana because I'm a Halo fan (on Xbox) and I'm blown away daily on functional and helpful it actually is, everything I thought was a marketing gimmick I really use every day. 😊 Anyways, thanks again for all the advice, tips and videos. Awesome, thank you for the msg and support. Trying to grow the channel. I try to give all the info on how to use the features on the vehicles, not just what the vehicles look like. Lots of people don't know how to use the features, and these cars are loaded with them. I've even watched the Auzzie reviewers complaining about the steering, but they don't change the settings for that to "Associated driving mode" to ON. It's adjusts the steering depending on the driving mode you in. SPORTS - Sharper and more responsive. ECO - Vague and relaxed.

@@theBaldChery yes you're right regarding Aussie reviewers not up on the vast features of the Omoda-5 ... had our dark metallic grey BX (no red trim) for a week now and absolutely loving it. So much better than the BMW X2 we just stepped out of. Wife just did a weekend away 1000km trip. As you say, there's so many features to discover and operate. Your 'how to videos' are so helpful and certainly short tracks reading through the operational manual. Keep up the GREAT work, you're doing a fantastic job 💪

The systems look similar if you compare the C5 to the T8 & T7 MAX'S, but it's different software and different hardware in the systems themselves. The MAX'S are newer generation vehicles, that's why the NAVI ( Turbodog ) is only currently on the new MAX'S and Jaecoo's. Hope this helps. They'll probably do a "facelift" model like they did in the Tiggo's to the C5 that'll have the offline Navigation.

The fastest I've gotten on my T4 was 204kph on the WAZE MAPS, so on GPS, on the car, it indicated 208kph. And the car still felt planted on the road.

You can but you need to have a USB with the photo loaded onto it. Plug the USB in and then go to photos, select it and you can load it.

You can either use the remote and hold down the button for 7 to 10 sec and it'll remote start. You need to be with the range of the car with the remote. Car will start, but stay locked until you get to the car ( CVT MODELS ONLY ) climb in and press the brake pedal and info screen will start up and car ready to drive. Thanks man. I used to look after him when he was a baby. His mom had him when she was 15yrs and the father wanted nothing to do with him or my sister. So I was the dad figure in his life for many yrs and I know how it felt as my parents got divorced when I was 3yrs old and he just disappeared.

Hi, I took delivery of my Tiggo 4 pro elite CVT this Saturday, really wanted a SE but I just couldn't say no to the awesome deal garden city motors Pietermaritzburg (Mercedes/Chery) offered me on my 2024 demo with under 4500km. I have watched all your T4ro videos multiple times and liked all of them, I still go back daily to familiarise myself with all the functions and features. I absolutely LOVE my car! Everyone I show and give a chance to drive my car is amazed at the incredible value for money this car offers. Fuel consumption is terrible though but I hope when I take it in for the 5k service and update it will get better. Overall, what a car! Would recommend to anyone in the market in this segment. It took about 2 to 3 tanks and over 1500km. The car starts to re-adjust itself and as you drive it gets better. The total testing was over 4wks and 5000km.

Hi bald Chery, I managed to get the update done in PE. My problem is my AFC seems stuck on 11.0 km/L or 9.0 per 100km. I have travelled a 150km but it never changes. I think I have had a bad software update or something has gone wrong. I was wondering if you have heard of this problem elsewhere or you have a contact number of someone that can help?

It seems weird, but give it about another 200km. It recalibrate itself. You'll see as you drive, the trip goes up, and the DTE also goes up, and the AFC stays at the same for some time. It eventually settles and changes.

I use trip logbook from the play store. It's a purple logo with a man in white driving. It's very useful, gives all the details and logs your trips in private or business and you can pay R50 a ur to download a full report for taxes.

Hi. If you have to splice any wiring or remove the head unit, then yes it will void the warranty like any other manufacturer. But if you just remove the speakers and replace them with others and using the original connector from the car. Then the warranty will be fine but installing a sub and an amp will void warranty.

It mainly depends on how you drive but for a big car that size, not bad when testing around town and highways. I got on avg about 12 to 12.5km to a liter ( 8l to 100km ) and I've seen people get as high as 13.3km to a liter ( 7.5l to 100km ) Don't forget, it weighs 1660kg.

The WiFi is mainly used to connect devices to each other in the car on the same network. So if you want to send someone a pic on the same network, you should be able to search the device and share the pics for example. If have a portable WiFi, then yes you could also use it as that.

Hi. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy the T8. Like I previously said, the point of the WIFI is basically just to connect your phone to the car. The car doesn't have built in Internet. It's like a wireless connection to the car like you have a wireless connection in your office through the WiFi router without the Internet. You can connect devices to one another. It's not a WiFi with the Internet. It can also be part of the wireless Android auto connection part if you don't want to use Bluetooth to connect. Hope this is a little clearer for you.

Software was available from all dealers from the 9th May. That was part one of four. I've done 3 other parts giving feed back plus a vid where I drove only on SPORTS MODE and another where it was only on ECO MODE and the difference.

Mine was from when I closed the boot. The spoiler rattled and wasn't solid, and when I closed it, I noticed it moved too much. I've come across a squeaky noises at the back, and there are 2 possibilities. 1... number plate from the dealer sometimes makes a noise. I've seen people pop a piece of double-sided tape under the tip of the number plate. 2... and then one I had myself, was the rubbers on the rear parcel shelf that press against the boot lid. I just rotated them 180 degrees and noise was gone.

Is it normal for fuel consumption to be much higher on these cars when they are brand new. Just got mines on Thursday. Fuel consumption when I left the dealership was 20litres per 100km. 300KM later its now around 9.3litres/100KM this is also after the software update. I noticed that the car on eco mode is not sluggish anymore.

Did you reset the counter when you filled up or left the dealership. Remember you need to run the engine in properly for the first 1500km. Need to keep rpm under 2500rpm. As the engine gets run in, like all new cars, the consumption will get better. It'll slowly decrease and you'll see better results as you pit more kilos on. When you do the first oil change at 5000km OR 6months ( if you check the oil, it might look like its low but its the way its been designed, DO NOT PUT ANY OIL IN ) , you'll see a big change from there aswell.
