Great work 👍🏼! May I ask you which sandpaper (hardbess grade) did you use in the beginning and after the gloss paint? And.. do you sand after every step? So.. sand-basecoat-sand-clear lacquer-sand-polish? Thx 😊

1: Don't do this... there is no point in warming up your car, just drive it slowly once started up until it gets to temp. U wear the engine out more, use fuel and pollute for no reason when you could be driving efficiently while warming it up. 2: What do u mean "e" series? i don't think this works in a e30 for example, neither does it in my e46. It doesn't make any sense.

I love a good car detailing video, and this is no exception. But why must 90% of them have this wank "holiday brochure" music??? (I get that there are copyright issues when using an artists music,) but why, why this plinky plonk JIZZ ?

This will work but now have left your customer with less Clearcoat on their paint.... if you wanted to, you can just buff it out without sanding

KZfaq sucks so bad. In short: skip the touch paint and just compound and polish. The end result is better than a MUCH bigger painted area where the new paint doesn't match your 5 year old or older paint. Just saved you hours, a few bucks, and much frustration when you do it perfectly and end result is more noticeable than the original scratch and just some compound and polish.

BE ADVISED: If your paint is a decade old, guess what, THE NEW PAINT WON'T MATCH. it'll be unnoticable in some light, or when raining, but in some light you will STILL see a stark diff in paint tone. ALSO, given that the work area from sanding winds up so much bigger, you turn a small scratch into a deck of cards sized discolored blotch. It really isnt worth it. Wait until you have scratches all around, then just get the whole thing repainted...or just do your best with rubbing compound and polish without the touchup paint. The end result of a tiny scratch polished is actually better then a bigger area of new paint that never quite matches the years-old paint and polish.
