It looks like they need to Open it at least once a Month. Seems like it would be better for the Dam, to have all the Sediment washed out instead of building up?

You are right. We have three spillway gates and flow can be controlled through one gate other 2 remains closed position and buildup sediments behind it

This is why dams are bad for farming and the environment. That sediment is key for plants and crops

Haha everything we flush downstream goes to the bed of the reservoir other Hydropower project so it continues till it reaches the sea.
