It's a lovely museum. My only criticism is they keep part of the collection locked away at Clay Cross. I personally think they should be rotating stored trams to enable the full collection to be viewed over time. Id love to see Blackpool dreadnought but it's in Clay Cross with little prospect of coming out any time soon.

How come the police were stopping the traffic signals not working?
@StevenHughestransportvideosАй бұрын
The signals were working correctly. They had closed Talbot Road to disperse a protest by taxi drivers which was causing an obstruction. The bus was trying to turn right which it couldn't due to the closure, and was then held as the tram got the signal to go through. The police remained in the area to ensure the protest didn't return and block all the roads again. (Nothing to do with the tram opening, just happened to coincide)
@Thomas-zs1rcАй бұрын
@@StevenHughestransportvideos Ah yes i thought it would be to do with that
@StevenHughestransportvideosАй бұрын
@@Thomas-zs1rc initially the taxis had parked down both sides of Talbot Road but where moved to the left side and in doing so they had looped round Cookson At and Abingdon At causing a blocked triangle so nothing could move. The police then decided to close the road and clear the area completely as it was causing aggravation for other motorists and buses etc. was quite impressive watching how professionally the police dealt with the situation though.
