The only problem with owning a truck like that is it's too nice to drive.

Very nice Goat, but wrong wheels. Very nice to see a CLASSIC car not loaded with "resto-mods" and RUINED! A CLASSIC should be CLASSIC and not made "new"!!

In all my car books and specifically Packard books I have never seen this vehicle before.....much money and talent involved.....when was it done ?....recently would be my guess.....and like a previous poster asked " why were the back door seams not filled when everything else was so detailed" ?

The 1963 full-size Chrysler introduced another all new look. It's safe to say that from the 1957 model year forward, Chrysler's styling was well, all over the road so to speak. It's also safe to say, Chrysler's styling was not for everyone. We have to thank for that. Virgil Exner's Forward Look was the most radical of the Big Three. Chrysler had the tallest tail fins until the 1959 Cadillac was released. Cadillac also won first prize for the most outrageous fins, and the 59 Cadillac still holds that distinction to this day, like it or not. The 1963 Chryslers were very good looking. The featured a sculptured look that was more traditional overall but they still had their own style. The look was clean and smooth. The C, or D pillars on sedans, is where you can really see the sculptured lines. It was a nice look, and it was used on all full-size Chryslers, Plymouths and Dodges. Chryslers also had a special look for the grills and headlight placement. It may sound weird if your not a Gearhead If you look stand in front of their cars, the headlights seem to look up at you with a cute and modest expression. Check that out. The 64 model year kept the overall look of the 63s, however the taillights were reshaped from very rounded to a more angular shape, that followed rear sheetmetal. . They made me always think of the beautiful Chrysler Pentistar logo use through out the 60s. I like that look. I love the 63s and 64s.

I was just 8 years old in 1963, but I was already a mini Gearhead. My dad had a 1963 Chrysler Newport. It was a white with blue vinyl interior 4 door hardtop. It had a 361 V8 engine and the famous Chrysler Tourqueflight automatic transmission. It was the first car in our family with factory Air Conditioning, it had a cool little decal on the lower right side of the rear window. Chrysler and Chevrolet were the only cars that used those little decals on their air conditioned cars. At that time most cars were not equipped with factory Air Conditioning, so it was a pretty big deal, so much so the decals were kinda like bragging rights. However by the end of the 60s most American cars had it. Living in Southern California, it was practically a requirement. It was pretty cool (literally) to be seen around town in the middle of the summer with all your windows rolled up. 19
