Debra, love your work and style! If you had to pick only 5 pigments, what would they be?
@debralynrosenbachart4 сағат бұрын
If I had to choose just five colors to work with, I would start with a stunning blue like indathrone blue-it's one of my favorites. For the second color, I'd opt for a mid-tone green, such as olive green, striking a balance between light and dark. Cadmium medium yellow would be my third choice, then magenta would definitely be my fourth color; my brush always seems to find its way to that shade. Lastly, I'd add turquoise for a playful touch. And of course, white-though not a color but a shade-would be essential for adjusting tones and opacity.

Thanks for the informative bumping tutorial. I looked at your Amazon store and didn't see a brush like the short fat one you used for blending. You also used it for dropping in head of flowers. Never mind, I found it! A Quill! BUT...which one should I get if I can get only one?

thank so much, get the size 120, it’s a good size to use up to a half a sheet of watercolor paper and smaller. the minute you go larger to a full sheet of paper then move up in size.

What are you painting the scarf on top of! There are a lot of colors on it , don’t they bleed into the new scarf? Thanks!!
@debralynrosenbachart6 күн бұрын
I have the scarf folded in half and the pigment monoprints on the the folded section too, below that to cover my work surface is a drop cloth I use on my work table all the time, I wash it a lot so it’s not full of active pigments….its more stained then anything.

I get confused on my beginner and I’m told to pre-wash my scarf and water with a little bit detergent and then rinse it. Let it dry and then iron it. But you were steaming yours right away? I will be using so do you suggest washing the scarf first with a littledetergent or softener or what? I need help by the way I love your videos.
@debralynrosenbachart6 күн бұрын
I didn’t wash mine prior, not really necessary. But, steaming it helped to not have to work on those folded areas. If you happen to wash first don’t put any fabric softening on it as it might creates. Enjoy!!

Hi Debra Lyn. Love watching your videos. Love your loose, mixed media style! I wanted to let you know( just in case you didn’t get the memo), that Hahnemuhle 140lb CP has been altered. It was my all time favorite paper. However, they changed their “felt” content and now their CP feels like hot press. It’s horrible. I was soooo disappointed! I won’t use it anymore. I am trying their rough… but mainly using Arches again.
